RIM 8700 Electron - more information and images surface

Two weeks ago we informed you about a new rumored phone from RIM with the codename Electron – the 8700 series. Now there are some more images, with better quality, and some more specification. The Electron is a device in bar form factor about the size of the 7200 series, but thinner and narrower. It is a quad-band GSM phone, featuring high-speed GPRS and EDGE and local connectivity through Bluetooth 2.0. It is powered by 312MHz Processor and has 16MB of RAM and 64MB of ROM memory. It is expected to be officially announced soon, and to start shipping in December 2005, or the first days of 2006.
