RIM 7100i for IDEN Networks might soon be offered from Sprint Nextel

The FCC has approved a new RIM device of the 7100 series, this time for iDEN networks. It is in bar form-factor as the other 7100 series devices, but has a stub-retractable antenna. It features 240x260 pixels 65k color display, 32MB of memory, and Walkie-Talkie function. Locally it can be connected with other devices through Bluetooth. The release date is unknown, but the Nextel logo on the 7100i's screen makes us believe that RIM has already made arrangement with Nextel for the phone's distribution.
