RAGE and RAGE HD for iOS now free for a week, rail shooter fans pack for happy camping

As part of its promotion aiming to attract 100 000 "likes" on Facebook, id Software said it will give away its RAGE (540MB download) and RAGE HD (747MB with fancier graphics) titles for iOS during the course of a week.
Well, the game developer just hit this milestone yesterday on Facebook, so it manned up and if you visit the App Store you will see that the RAGEs are now listed as a freebie. If we are counting right, the promotion should end next Wednesday, so hurry up - even if you don't appreciate rail shooters for a few bucks, you might love them for free.
The game was also recently updated with a melee move, virtual analog joystick and full HDMI-out support for your big screen TV, so you'd enjoy the latest and greatest during the few happy hours of exterminating mutants.

Man, the iPhone/iPad as a platform really spoils you. Half the games I have are full games that were either discounted to free for some short time period.
