QuickShot HD lets you take one-tap photos on your Android handset without the camera app

We've all been struggling with missed moments due to the fact that you have to enter the camera app to take a shot first on most android handsets. Save for Sony, which puts a dedicated camera key with a quick shot mode that goes from sleep to snap in seconds, others rely on the virtual stuff...

I tested my samsung galaxy note 2 by going from sleep mode, unlocked my phone from the lock screen by clicking on the camera shortcut on the phone lock screen and went straight to my camera mode, snap a shot and all it took me 4 seconds. Sorry but this app is not for the note 2 owners. I did this many times and I was always able to snap a picture within 4 seconds but not less. And yes the picture was focused very well. Maybe this app is good for older android model. Thank you sammy for making such a super fast phone. And people ask me from now you are thinking to buy the note 3. Oh yes I will.

woah 4 seconds are alot compared to sony's "less than a second" from sleep to snap.

what's more, in sony phones that support this function, you don't have to unlock the phone. Just press the camera button.

4 seconds are an eternity when you have to take a picture. Sammy fanboys have become like Apple's fans and have joined them in the "reality distortion field"... :)

First of all I am not a fanboy of samsung or any other manufacturer. I will buy the best always. To me I picked the note 1 because it has larger screen 5.3 inch. Then took my time to shop around and chose the galaxy note 2 again because of the 5.5 larger screen. And yes I will buy the note 3 if it has 5.8 inch screen. not because samsung made it. its is because no one make such a large screen phone beside sammy. This is what I like and it is my hard earned money and I get to buy whatever I want. Did I mention that sony is always overpriced otherwise I have no problem of buying sony products so stop saying fanboy of this manufacturer. Also compare sony price to any galaxy phone in the same specification hardware base and you will always see that sony cost more. Not a brainer to pay more for sony unless you are the fanboy of sony. I never buy apple product not because I hate apple but simply because they charge too much and android is the answer for people with brain.

This is perfect . But it goes with others too . If they wan't Sony or Apple and if they think its worth the cost they pay nothing wrong .

So these lines show you are a fanboy of Samsung . because you cannot say Note II is the best . It is just best for you . For some Xpera S is the best . For some Apple Iphone 5 is the best .

Maybe Sammy will improve the camera sleep-to-snap function in a future software update? It certainly seems like a nice function to offer. If QuickShot HD gets traction, that would further empasize interest in the feature.

This kind of software have been available since 2010, but they're all under spy or stealth-related names, and they have been free and very stable.
This one gets an article on it just because it charges $3 and doesn't have a sketchy name.

I've used those apps. And they are as sketchy and useless as there names. This app is way better. Its fast.. and the quality of the photos is simply GREAT! Just bought it after reading this article and the purpose of this app i guess isn't upskirt shots unlike most of those sketchy apps, this one is just for those times when you don't want to miss keeping a moment in life because you were to late to click it.. I vote this up! Its pricey but what the hell, it does what it says and REALLY well!
