Quanta to develop a revised version of the Xda Atom PDA phone

Quanta Computer has plans to develop a revised version of Xda Atom Pocket PC phone for HP, according to the Chinese-language Commercial Times. The new version seems to be similar to the currently manufactured for UK-based O2 Xda Atom, apart from that instead of a tri-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE standard, it will support quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE standard. It is still not known whether there will be any other changes. As phonearena.com informed back in October, 2005 the Xda Atom PDA phone features:

  • 2.7-inch 65k color touch-sensitive display
  • 2.0 mega pixels camera
  • Bluetooth
  • Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 OS
  • miniSD memory expansion slot
  • Infrared, USB ports
  • FM radio
  • Wi-Fi
