Qualcomm sues Meizu in three countries following patent infringements
Qualcomm has continued its legal assault on Chinese smartphone maker Meizu, filling a complaint, patent infringement action, and an ifringement seizure action in the U.S., Germany, and France, respectively. The company claims that Meizu’s refusal to negotiate a license agreement in good faith and its sales and distribution of infringing products around the world has left it no choice but to protect its patent rights through additional legal proceedings.

In June, Qualcomm claimed that Meizu's MediaTek-powered handsets infringe on its 3G and 4G connectivity patents. Back then, Meizu told us that it's been working with Qualcomm towards an agreement and respects its right to use legal measures if the chip maker is unsatisfied with the progress. It looks like the negotiations failed to achieve an amicable result and Meizu faces legal trouble on three fronts.
