A new OMNIA branded smart phone might be on its way. According to hdblog, it will feature sliding QWERTY keyboard and is to be launched sometime this summer, probably in July. The new Samsung handset will also sport a 3.5-inch AMOLED display with WVGA resolution, 5-megapixel flash camera and run WM 6.1, although the OS will be probably upgradeable to version 6.5 as soon as it has become available. No information on the RAM/ROM memory and the processor is around yet, but they are expected to be either the same or better than what is in the first OMNIA. As for the price, the Italian blog speculates it will be very competitive and about €500 ($660). If the information about the OMNIA PRO turns out to be correct, we can see it become a strong competitor of the HTC Touch Pro2 in both price and functionality.

this could be the phone Verizon and Microsoft are working on. Maybe? This seems like it could be an iphone competitor.

Most definitely Verizon would carry this. Who else would carry it, Verizon already has the first generation of the OMNIA.

Omnia Pro eh? I think the Omnia is one of Verizon's best smartphones, so Verizon customers should be entitled to an Omnia with a QWERTY keyboard for those who need a physical keyboard.

thats not a preview... thats a speculation... they photoshoped the image, giving people an idea of what it COULD look like... but if thats what it turns out to be, it would definitely be nice...

Phonearena editor, did you even read your source?? That is all pure speculation, 100% fan fiction. That photo was created by a fan to illustrate what he thought it would look like. The problem is, the source explained all this, you have not and thusly disreguarded your obligation to journalistic integrity.
