"After all, how many fart apps can one person use?" Exactly.

hahahahaha exactly!!!!

5. *HOVA* posted on 27 Dec 2009, 09:30

You guys are morons. If you could make an app and charge people for it, or even for free and use it for advertising why wouldn't you? There's duplicates of all apps, but considering what you can gain why wouldn't you. Get a life.

8. VZWEMP posted on 27 Dec 2009, 11:46

Are you comments ever useful or contribute to the discussion of the actual article. All you ever do is insult people and you're telljg use to get a life? Hahaaha OK thanks for the input.

10. *HOVA* posted on 27 Dec 2009, 15:11

If people didn't leave retarded comments I wouldn't be so inclined to point out their stupidity. Oh, and your comment? "hahahahaha exactly!!!!" .... You pretty much speak for your own stupidity. It's odd you comment on my validity let you leave a comment as such... But then again, that's what makes you an idiot so, carry on.

11. vzw fanman posted on 27 Dec 2009, 15:15

don't use retarded, it's not nice and it's immature. :-)

12. *HOVA* posted on 27 Dec 2009, 15:44

This doesn't happen very often so bathe in the glory but.... You're right.

17. VZWEMP posted on 27 Dec 2009, 18:19

Hmmm OK so posting "hahahaha exactly!" makes me an idiot. Yea that makes sense. Here I have an idea for a new year's resolution....try post informative and useful comments instead of your insulting comments. I mean seriously....calling people "retards" on the internet. What are we 10? If thats not a clear indicator of someone with low self esteem i dont know what is.

Hey hova, try reading for once. The point was, Apple is the one saying which apps can stay and which ones kick it, and apparently all Apple accepts is pointless apps. Your right in the aspect of making an app to make a buck or two, but you didnt think before you spoke.

2. haste_the_day posted on 27 Dec 2009, 06:08

there is never enough fart apps...lol...but seriously, habving an open market for apps is a great thing. I rarely see an app on my moto Droid that is a clone of something else, other than the ringtone apps and wallpaper apps ect... great market, and easy to use.

4. theGodpapa posted on 27 Dec 2009, 07:31

I love the fact that I don't pay for any apps. Droidappz.org ota d/l of ripped apps. Ftw

13. E.N. posted on 27 Dec 2009, 16:38

Well if you want more quality apps, that will have to change.

21. deschats posted on 27 Dec 2009, 22:31

All the applications on my Droid are of good quality. The only reason Apple has "good looking" apps, is because developers are forced to make it look like the platform. Haven't you ever noticed how every single app has the same table, border, font, etc.. ?

24. E.N. posted on 28 Dec 2009, 15:32

Haha, you make it sound like a really bad thing. Everything looks nice and uniform and sometimes I forget some of my applications are not native ones. Everything does look beautiful (I'm glad you noticed) but that wasn't what I was initially talking about. I'm saying that a developer is not going to put months into make a perfect app just to give it out for free or else there would be no incentive for doing so. The longer it takes for an app to make, the better the graphics, the smoother it is, etc then the more likely it will have a cost. That's another reason why I don't think the Android market is any good. Having majority free apps means no one wants to take the time to make great ones. You guys have yet to use top notch quality apps

This many apps won't matter unless Android market puts up a store front that is accessible from desktops ala iTunes store. Think about it... User using a droid: Show me all the list managers. (screen displays first of N) scroll, scroll, scroll, scroll, scroll, scroll... scrolll... Aww the heck with it... No software purchase gets made. Further, the way I originally purchased an iPod, was by visiting the iTunes store and seeing for myself just how much stuff was out there and being delighted by the selection. I didn't buy one first, because I thought it was cool, and THEN see that the music I wanted was available! Wake up google/motorola/verizon! We want a store front on the desktop!

7. sinfulta posted on 27 Dec 2009, 11:44

I don't care actually. I almost buy nothing from my desktop. I get everything right over the phone(3GS), I get irritated when it's a program over 10mb that ATT won't let you download, then I have to run back to a computer just to download it. Lame.

22. deschats posted on 27 Dec 2009, 22:35

No, we dont. I hate when I buy a new iPod, and I have to download/ upgrade Apples garbage software. The app store sucks because there isnt an easy way to view all free apps, because Apple is a power junky/ money pyschotic company. I would much rather have the store directly on my phone, that way I can download new apps all the time, organize them the way I want, from anywhere I go. iTunes takes up my memory, anyway.

True Ice9, I agree but would go a step further... Full store/market listings on the web. Frankly I hear about all these great apps on both android and iphone and I can't easily navigate/browse them from my PC. Why would I switch to AT&T and the iphone because of all these "apps" with out being able to preview them at least on a webpage? It would be nice to have a more powerful/expansive browsing method to find the right apps, with 150k+ this is very important, not wasting time downloading all of them only to be disappointed until finding the right one.

9. AZNphoneGeek posted on 27 Dec 2009, 13:00

what is completely stupid is what can be considered an "app". if you look in the istore, there are more theme/ringtone/wallpaper apps that shouldn't be categorized as an app because they aer just that... themes, ringtones, and wallpapers. oh wait, i can get an app that shows my favorite artist's album and a few extra pics. wow what an app. google, please don't fall into this monoric "app" format
