Pre-orders are now available for the BlackBerry Porsche Design P'9981
So it went from being regarded as a fake, to something that’s for real, but the Porsche designed BlackBerry P’9981 is coming to the US very soon. As we all know, the device is readily available for purchase in the UK right now, where it’s selling for £1,275 ($1,998).

Well, US consumers will soon be able to grab hold of the device seeing that pre-orders are apparently available. Actually, one curious person decided to head to their local Porsche store to inquire about the handset, and interestingly enough, they said that they’re accepting pre-orders at the moment. But more important, the handset is expected to be ready for pick up sometime in the last week of February.

Just like before, it’s pricing is set at a point that would scare off the normal Joe, which isn’t all that surprising seeing that it’s bearing Porsche’s name. In any event, a rock solid $1,700.00 will nab you a pre-order right now – albeit, we feel that not everyone will be jumping at the opportunity.

Nonetheless, if you have that kind of disposable income, or actually own a Porsche of your own, we’d bet that you wouldn’t be phased in buying this one.

but if it were an iPhone with the "Porsche" branding, it would be sold out. LOL.

iPhones don't need Porsche branding, but Porsche does make a ton of money selling iPod/iPhone connection kits.

I don't understand why it keeps attracting attention. Looks? Definitely not because even the original Bold 9900 looks better.

Pre-orders are definitely aren't needed for this phone. You are already gauranteed an device as no one will pay $1,700 for such a device.

Crackberry folks will. head to Crackberry.com and they will tell you Android and iPhone suck and can not compete. They are blind to phones just now getting 1GHZ processors when Dual cores have been out for a nearly a year. They also just got HD Cameras.

Just $1,700? Dirt cheap scrap metal.

you'd be better off buying an ounce of gold and fabricating your own plated case for about the same amount of money and have enough gold left over for nice cufflinks
