I'm so happy that the rumor is over and that I got this phone. I'm really happy vzw and at&t can't get it for now hopefully not ever they got their phones. They are so greedy its disgusting. This phone is crazy lol and it lived up to its hype

I kind of know how you feel. I don't want the iPhone to go to any other company either. But I think you were a little extreme when you said that the other carriers are so greedy that it was disgusting. I especially hope the iphone doesnt go to Verizon or even sprint/tmobile, but I don't think that the companies are greedy for wanting it. There's nothing wrong with wanting a phone that will give you more customers.

Storm. New software. Enough said.

did that software update come with a physical keyboard?

9. E.N. posted on 07 Jun 2009, 13:39

who cares about physical keyboard. You make it sound as if that's what everyone wants. If the iPhone gets a keyboard, I'm moving on. I mean the iPhone is/was the top selling phone and the storm was right behind it. The G1 had a physical keyboard too. What happened to that phone?

My BM wanted Touch Pro, we stopped in the Downers Grove, IL store to get my 3rd replacement Renegade where she was telling me how she wanted the bigger horizontal keyboard but after playing with the Pre we left with the last one that store had. What is really suprising is that was at 3pm, now she's telling me I can't get one because we can't be phone twins

The pre will be on verzion next year, a lot of people will not leave their phone company to go to sprint because of the pre. Sprint lost millions of customers because of how they treated them, and left a bad taste in our mouth. The palm pre will only sell to some of sprint customers not all. In order for Palm to recoup all the money they loss, they will have to come to the #1 company (VZW) over 86.6 million compare to sprint 49 million customers. Do the math!!!!!

it would behoove palm to open the os to multiple carriers, as they have done in the past. but historically speaking, palm and sprint have always had a good relationship. the difference with sprint is, this is their flagship phone without question. for vzw, its the storm. for at&t, its the iphone. and for tmobile, its the g1 (anything android). it makes sense for palm to debut on sprint, since its going to garner the most attention by one carrier. that way, they can get user feedback, and build on it by the time it opens up to other carriers. i dont think the pre will hit other carriers, but handsets that run web os will most definitely hit other carriers. notice how vzw said devices "like" the pre. i dont see a problem in that at all...

iceman64 hit on a good point about the past feeling of Sprint as a whole, don't discount the attention the phone has garnered coupled with the added savings thier plans offer it may sway some. There was vzw defector in the tutorial with my BM yesterday.

This phone is amazing, the keyboard is pretty good coming from the touch pro. Runs real smooth, very responsive and I've been using it for hours with no lag and zero crashes. The browser is lighting fast, web pages look really good and the multi-touch pinch to zoom in/out is very quick.
