Poll results: How often do you use the stylus in your Samsung Galaxy Note/Note II?

0. phoneArena posted on 19 Dec 2012, 04:48

It turns out that Stylus: The Resurrection is not some low budget horror flick by Samsung, but actually a blockbuster, at least judging by what our 2,181 respondents in the poll last week are saying...

Expect a stylus to be part of Apple's replacement to the 2007 iOS UI. It is that useful in previewing the content of e-mail on my Note II. I would be surprised if Sammy didn't include S-pen with the GS IV.

if the gs4 had a stylus what would the point of the galaxy note line? therefore i WOULD be surprised if the gs4 has a stylus.

Larger format screen size. The S-pen is not the only reason to get a Note II over a GS III.

Well let's try to ponder that, shall we:

you do bring up a good point......

I think adding an S-Pen to the next Galaxy S iteration would also blur the unique distinction between the Galaxy Note line and the Galaxy S line. Granted, some would say that the Galaxy Note [II] has Multi Windows but, that feature has already been announced for the Galaxy S III via an OTA update (or, KIES) and, more than likely, will come "stock" on the Galaxy S IV.

As far as hardware and device, 'Noting' that the S III is also an awesome device (and, so too shall be the Galaxy S IV), the screen size on the Galaxy Note II makes the experience all the more enjoyable, even with the screen size difference between the two devices being only about ¾ of an inch.

Look on the bright side of the whole matter, at least we're not stuck with a 3½" screen (or 4") using a Single Window on an outdated 2007 OS without a stylus and installing everything on fixed memory via a computer using proprietary software.

Adding an S-pen as well as a wacom digitizer would increase the costs of the SIII, which would be counter-productive.

i just love the stylus on my Note II but as a matter of fact, S-Pen is more usable on my NOte 10.1 because of the real estate. and it is just a tiny bit hair more responsive and quick on Note 10.1!

Love the Note 2 and love the stylus for when I have gloves on. I cut out pictures to make notes and preview messages with it.

Samsung is genius for their S pen technology

I use mine the majority of the time. I love that thing. I love this phone. Makes iOS look so very far behind.

Too hard for a Lefty. It doesn't deploy easily from the 'wrong' side.
