Don't hold your breath on that Sniggly. Apple has brainwashed him so badly he can hardly even speak anymore. He's basically a mindless iZombie.

I have an iPhone 4 on VZW & like the simplicity, stability, ease of setup via PC in comparison to the Samsung Fascinate & Motorola Droid I own prior to. The bugs and lagginess of older versions of Android made me lose money trying to communicate, text, & browser to get info & as an over the road trucker, learning it was Android's beta builds, I switched to iOS. Don't really care for the controlled aspect of the iPhone as far as customizing (rooting or jailbreaking ain't my thing tho), but the stability of the OS, muAH!!!! BUT, the all glass, no good. Especially after watching SGSII vs iPhone 4S drop test. OUCH!!!!! & although the antenna has been redesigned from the original GSM iPhone 4, it's data & voice reception is s**tty. Now that Android looks smooth & has worked on their stability, I'm getting either the Droid Razr or Galaxy Nexus. The reason for the Nexus is obvious, but tho the Razr only has 4.3" Super AMOLED Advanced qHD, slightly slower processor, GB, & non-replaceable battery, the upside upside is the screen is clear vibrant still. A BEAUTIFUL combo, just like the 720p HD Super AMOLED, tho Razr has lower Res, but not by much. But the design, strength, Moto's ability to have among the best reception, & SPLASH GUARD, are things I can use out here. I'm just afraid GB with Motoblur (still is no matter the skin name now, tho doesn't look bad on here) will have the device running laggy with a locked bootloader & bloatware. Tho they may get high support since Google owns there, but not a definite. Decisions, decisions. However, f**k this iPhone.

I'm in a similar boat to you. I've had an iPhone 3G for a long time and played with a lot of earlier builds of Android including Froyo and wasn't really impressed. Now with Gingerbread and ICS, I think the OS is a lot more complete and worth my monies.

But I'm on ATT and not VZW :( So GNex or HTC Holiday are my best Android options.

Oh an iTunes updating every other week is really starting to piss me off!

IKR. I wish AT&T or T-mo had better reception but being as CDMA is more covered & it's tech handles transmissions better, more stable, tho slower as far as data. But the simultaneous voice & data is a tool I wish I could use. But VZW's coverage area & reliable network is my best option. I tried T-mo & had dropped call too much, learning, it's how calls are handled by GSM tech. It's like, say calls by customers are marbles trying to get thru a small tube. Tho fast, if & when it gets too clogged, other marbles have to wait to get thru. CDMA allows slower but steady travel thru. Tho can get clogged, it's harder to. Not bad knowledge for a ghetto raised trucker, huhn. ;)

I'm thinking for my needs & wants, the beautiful Droid Razr with all it features & battery life will suffice. The plastic Sammy just doesn't give me the same feel tho the screen & ICS, mmm. Delish. Apple disappointed me tho nice cam with new lenses, Siri, & underclocked dual core processor is bad ass. Fragile glass, the same small screen, worse battery life & no LTE. I miss Swype, a notification light, Flash video capability, live wallpapers & able to give new look to make phone last longer. The Droid Razr is the 1 I feel will get the job done, but need to see comparisons between this & Nexus.

& Taco, remixfa, & other norms here. I've been reading for a while here but never decided to register to post until today with this poll. You guys/ gals are entertaining, in a good way, tho I'm a fan of what works & smartphone tech completely. Even RIM with hardware & BBX attempts says a lot. WP7.5 Mango seems cool, just ugly as hell. I see tech, no dedication to OS. Innovation, fanboy I am. To that, WASSUUUUUUUUPPPP!!!!!

On my 5th Android phone (counting models and factory replacements). Camera stopped working on my droid x, hard resets and battery pulls just don't cut it anymore. Getting an iPhone for the same reason I switched from Windows to OSX. Not an Android hater, just need a reliable phone to go with my reliable computers. You could say all the Android phones combined outsell the iPhone, or the iPhone outsells any one Android model but really it just depends on what people look for in a phone. I personally don't have the time to reset my phone every few weeks and re-enter all my account and email settings.

So in the end you have only had the Droid X? Sorry to break it to you but after the Droid X got "upgraded" to 2.2 t went straight to hell. Trust me, I know what I am talking about. I have also had several Droid X's. It worked PERFECT when it first came out with 2.1 but after that, no.

You need to get a new android phone all together. SGS2 works flawlessly, no battery pulling, no random reboots, no lag, no force closes, no hard resets, etc.

Okay I love this site. I Truly Enjoy all comments. I work in the cell phone industry for over 5 years. So this is how I feel. Yes right now I currently am an android user. I've used many android phones. But I'll be honest i was excited for the new iphone but when the specs got released i was let down.

When i sell phones, I recon that iphones and androids work for different customers. Now someone commented that who cares about widgets. What an ignorant statement. You have any idea how many customers love that concept...? Do you know what a widget is? Dont down play it. The other thing that android gets ding for is its lack of simplicity..... really? You must not use android. To have the capability to put what apps you want out on your main screen that u use most to have the ability to have a widget of intel right there on you front screen instead of actually opening an application ..Win. So simple. Customers love the simplicity of the android.

Now, with the iphon APPLICATIONS i will hand it to APPLE great apps. They really have some really clean apps available. Nice win. For the longest time a sexy looking phone. for a long time excellent batt life.

But here is the thing. There is a change coming. Android not only compets with apple but other manufactures which means. Greater innovation. And it feels like apple is competing only against android.

Now back to the point that i4s. Its a great device. But as we know it takes a year to a year and half to release another iphone. This is the problem i have with it. To stay away from debate. Whether or not the i4s is better than all phones out now or equal. The problem is it at best bearly better than all phones. Understand an amazing Android phone comes out almost every other month. So you got a nice phone that now hows to compet with approx 6 to 9 Really cool and neat and high performing android innovating phones for the next year to 18 months. I feel that since apple comes out with a new phone ever year or so. They need to keep coming out with a new iphone that puts the ahead of the race with innovation that will cover there tails for atleast a year. Do i see that no. The i4s reminds me of the bionic. MOTO comes out with a bionic and like a month later MOTO comes out with a Razer... Really what a fail! and with in two months the nxus. That is what the iphone is to me. YES AWESOME!!! TODAY!!! but tomorrow not that great of a chance. Im' sorry does the i4s seem like a near 6 year innovated phone from the first iphone? My personal opinion is no. They have failed when coming to the table with a jaw dropping phone. FYI Verizon was looking at LTE atleast 4 to 5 years ago. APPLE had all that time that they should have been ahead of the curve. Its there job to predict the future and be ready for. LTE tec was out 5 years ago. They should have been ready for that. To produce an LTE phone when needed. If your a true tec man you want the fastest internet available.

example. if you gave a World of war craft junky a sick computer built for gaming. But there's a catch it can only connect with nothing greater than a 56k. It would be a fail.

Dude that's a lame example lol, first of all you could play WOW very nicely on LTE and if you don't have LTE, there's always Wifi.

And besides, WOW is one of the most played video games on PC for a reason, because people even with the crappiest, cheapest, low end specs computers can run it.

lol, thats because the tech it was built on.. what 6 years ago.. hasnt really changed and has been left behind by the times.

actually, thats a pretty neat comparison. :)

Rory you missed the point. I was trying to say you wouldnt have a sick computer with great abilities that can only use 56k speeds. Saying the iphone is a great device. But guess what. It uses a joking 3g speeds. another FAIL!! If you haven't used LTE that's your problem. Your still a virgin! And if thats the case i'll be understanding to your virginity.

With Android you get choices from qwerty keyboards, 3"-4.3" screenbsizes, dual screen if you prefer. Iphone only 3.5" screen. if you want you have to buy add ons with overprice accessories

(Thump3rDX17) wow, active iOS users on the site truly are the minority however this poll doesn't mean much in the real world, it's more like a community vote. most iOS users are so happy with their iPhones that it just doesn't appeal to them to come to a phone site like this. i will say i am totally jealous of all the accessory attention the iPhone gets. i cry when i see all the great cases you can get for the iPhone 4.
