it wont be out of the gate.. it will probably be buggy and suck honestly. give it a year of updates to mature since its a brand new system, and it will probably be a top contender again. Android and Apple both had some pretty fun first few months as well, so its not unexpected.

why do samsung continue to put charging port on the top of their phones?.makes it akward for car cradles and desktop charges. Ijust can't see the point

If you look at the charger thats plugged into the phone, it almost looks like someone was using a motorola charger. The cable very closely resembles the charging cord that is available with many of Motorola's android handsets

I'm thinking Microsoft has been making phones longer than Google and Apple put together so even though this is a new OS for Microsoft, they aren't new to the cellphone arena. I think WinFo7 might be a nice combination of what folks like from both Apple and Google then with the exclusive content and software that only Microsoft can put on their phones. eg Xbox, Office, Zune. They know that if they screw this up it's over for them in cellphone land. I'm eyeing a Dell Lightning for myself.
