Snapshots of the heavily anticipated, multi-named Android device don't really give us anything to stare at or drool over...

I hope they don't screw up this release... i want this to be a phone that i could buy and enjoy for a long time afterwards. I don't care how long it takes them to release it, as long as the final product is great. I am guessing that if its released on Oct 30th it won't have Android 2.0, so id rather wait till december but see it with the second version of Android on it..

After playing around with an HTC Hero at a Sprint store today, my need for an Android phone on VZW is near astronomical. This, or the Hero, needs to hit VZW soon.

it look's like they put no thought into the design of the phone. basic rectangle design throw in a keyboard and bam!!! the sholes. I sent my tp2 back in hopes of on jumping on the "Android Train" maybe the it will grow on my when it comes out.

Moto loves their rectangular shapes. I still think it looks pretty sleek though. Almost futuristic, even. I just hope it doesn't feel strange holding it in your hand, which is what worries me about the shape. Holding the Hero in my hand earlier, with the rounded edges and all, it was real comfortable. Sometimes rectangular phones (I'm looking at the Moto Q in particular) are weird to hold when actually using this thing as a phone.

i agree with u on that, the other thing that would keep me from buying phone that i said many times before about other phones is the vibration if i can't feel when someone is calling on texting me i don't want it the tp2 had a weak vibration. but i really hope this phone turns out great and i would love to put sense ui or something similar to it on this phone.

What kind of track record does Moto have with vibe strength? It'd also be handy to be able to dial down the vibe, so if you're in a quiet office environment, everyone around you doesn't have to hear the BUZZ every time you get a text (I imagine if any phone OS would have the ability to hack something this low-level, it would be Android)
