Despite being RIM's current flagship phone, AT&T sure seems like it wanted to wait forever to launch the device while variants of the phone have already popped up on other U.S. carriers, AT&T is asking for $199.99 with a signed 2-year contract for the device...

The last sentence sums it up. BBX is just around the corner, so I don't really see why AT&T saw it fit to add this device to their line up so close to it's obsolescence.
