Verizon is selling droids with 32gb between internal and sd card for $299. Same as iPhone.

OK, so how about the award for the most underpriced product?
Motorola RAZR .....
1 cent on AMAZON.com - best deal ever for a cell phone and comes with a 16GB microSD card Class 4 or 5. Now, that is an awesome deal.
Plus, you can get 4GB for 30.00, or 10GB for 50.00.

Was the user-name "Verizon Brand Ambassador" already taken?

lol, sorry, just switched - and it was a good deal, plus I go where the wife goes and she went to Verizon from AT&T. If she stayed put, I would have purchased the 1c SGS2/skyrocket with unlimited data.

Winner should be the iphone 4s.. Atleast in india, iphone 64gb model costs around 1200 $ in india..Even the 16 gb is somewhere around 900$.. Thats just crazy pricing... Borderline insane.
Some of my friends still bought it, i mean I can get a galaxy note for 200$ less, f u apple..

In this part of the world iPhone 4S 64GB costs 50 % more than a Galaxy Note or a Razr. I can get any of the above mentioned phones + an iPod touch 64GB for the price of an iphone 4S 64 gig model.
So the iphone 4S is one obscenely overpriced product.

The point everyone here is missing is that the Jetstream is $700 on contract and its the only model available. You dont HAVE to buy a 64gb 4s. And its $399 on contract. So doing the math..... $700-$399= $301 difference. On top of that you can always buy a 16gb 4s for $199. You dont have that option for the Jetstream. Only one design.

At least The Playbook is at 199-250 now which is more than acceptable. I love my playbook, I wouldn\'t spend 500 on it though thats for sure.

well, the iphone is pretty over priced too. My htc sensation is better than a 4S and its cheaper

I can explain to fandroids why iPhone isn't over priced. In 2009 I bought a 3GS for $200. 1 year later I sold my 3GS for $300 and bought an iPhone 4 for $200. Yes I actually made money upgrading. I then switched from AT&T to Verizon this year. I sold my iPhone 4 from AT&T for $400 and bought a Verizon one for $200.
So since the original $200 I invested in my first iPhone I haven't spent a penny to get my other iPhones. I in fact made money getting the 4. You guys can't even get $50 for your $200-300 droid you bought 8 months ago. Also check the article with iPhone users 96% satisfaction rate. THAT'S why it's not over priced. Funny thing I've learned is cheap asses end up paying more in the long run.

Funny thing I learned in school is that re-sale value has little to nothing to do with whether or not the original price is "overpriced".
Besides, the dude worried about re-selling his old phone to pay for his new one sounds like the cheap ass to me.

So selling a phone that I'll no longer use and making a profit makes me a cheap ass? Resale value has A LOT to do with over pricing.
If I buy a car for $10,000 and resell it for $5,000 my actual cost of ownership is $5,000.
My cost of ownership for 3 iPhones has been $100.
How much have you spent on the next greatest droid so far? I bet a lot more.

Original price is one thing.
Resale value is another.
Cost of ownership is the two combined.
When we are talking about whether or not something is "over priced" that relates to the original cost.
I don't understand what is so difficult about this. If you read my posts i've never stated anywhere that I think the iPhone is a bad purchase. I understand that paying what it costs is validated by a couple things, one being perceived value and the other being resale value.
But regardless of ALL of that. You would have made even more money and spent less if the product wasn't over priced in the first place.

Resale value is based on purchase price so if Apple drops the purchase price the resale value goes down.

Why did the Playbook beat out the Xoom? The Xoom was the one that had the balls to release at $100 more than the Ipad? The Playbook\'s prices were in line with Samsung, Apple, and the others and didnt try to overprice on it. The top 2 choices I agree with though.

Ah... you know it has to be a contentious subject when the entire first page of commentary is hidden because of its low rating!
