Parrot announced two new audio systems

Next week at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) Parrot will announce its two latest wireless sets of speakers. The first one, Parrot DS3120 is actually an innovative home stereo combining wireless music and hands-free calling in one unit. The device has two 20W speakers and a 1.8” TFT display. The DS3120 can play music from any Bluetooth Stereo capable device or through a USB connection. It also has an SD card slot, a line-in for iPod and a built-in FM radio with RDS. The screen displays track and album details when playing and when paired with a cell phone, the unit allows making phone calls through a built-in mic and going through the phonebook. When receiving a call, the music is automatically muted and any phonebook info stored on the user’s phone is displayed. The Parrot DS3120 is going to be available in the US and Europe in the second quarter of 2008 with MSRP of $249.99.

The second, Parrot DS1120 is a set of wireless stereo speakers that can be paired with any Bluetooth Stereo, computer (USB dongle included) or other music source (via cable with RCA jacks). Each speaker has a Class-D digital amplifier and the total power output is 30W RMS. The bass system is  hidden in the speaker stands and the three-button user interface located at the top speaker face is touch-sensitive. The Parrot DS1120 will be available in Europe and the U.S. in the second quarter of 2008 with MSRP of $279.99.
