Pantech device sports a 1.5GHz dual-core processor...for Korea only
If you're familiar with Pantech, it's probably for their USB modems, or their low-end smartphones. They do have higher-performance models, we just don't see them outside of their home market, Korea. But the Vega Racer might be what Pantech needs to expand their global smartphone influence.

Pantech's Vega Racer will be the first 1.5GHz dual-core smartphone, using Qualcomm's new MSM8660 Snapdragon CPU. It will also feature 1GB of RAM, an Adreno 220 GPU, and a 1650mAh battery. The rear-facing camera is 8MP, and the front-facing one is 1.3MP. Even the screen is impressive, with an 800x480 WVGA TFT LCD display, stretching 4.3 inches.

"What else," you ask? Well, the Vega Racer is only 9mm (0.35in) thick, and weighs only 120g (4.23oz). That's enough to give the iPhone some body-image issues. For the time-being, this contender will only be available on Korea's SK Telecom. This could be the device to earn Pantech more international recognition, and even some better carrier partnerships.

I know this may just be a mockup but damn does that look like iOS. Android should not look like iOS so why do a couple of companies skin Android like it?

I agree, this phone looks like it has some of the best quality materials to give it that highend feel. But that is just off of visual, until i get one in my hands, i am scepticle. However, that hardware inside sounds like it will kick the shit out of my Moto Atrix, and i love my phone, cant imagine how fast the Pantech will be. Quite intriguing if you ask me.

All Pantech does here in the States is feature phones. My question is- why WOULDN'T they release a device like this everywhere? Do they hate success or something? Sweet mother, this thing would sell.
