Pansonic VS7 GSM phone approved by the FCC

Panasonic VS7, a tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900) phone, featuring a 16-million color 2.5” display and a 2-megapixel camera, was approved by the FCC. The phone was introduced at the 3GSM World Congress in Cannes, France, in February this year. It is kinda strange that it gets an FCC approval, because Panasonic Mobile have already announced that they have closed Panasonic U.S. mobile phone operations.

Main specifications:

  • Clamshell form-factor, thickness of 0.75” (19mm)
  • Tri-band GSM: 900 / 1800 / 1900, GPRS
  • Bluetooth, IrDA, USB
  • 240x320 pixels, 16-million color display; external color display
  • 2-megapixel camera with video record
  • miniSD memory expansion
  • MP3 playback
