Please have Mobile Hotspot capabilities, a dual core processor, 1080p playback, gorilla glass, flash enabled web browsing and at least 32GB internal memory with expandable memory as well. That is my wish list...thank you.

fine with me, that's what the high-end Ipad costs now anyway. This device would smoke the ipad with all of these specs and at least be able to multitask and show flash.

Sorry for the double post

Hmm...so when you can't get your handset to sell, make a tablet instead...which will also fail. Sounds good to me. You too RIM...

You're such a downer.
If you have nothing nice to say, shut the fuck up.

And, P.S., I had the Palm Pre and Pixi - Pixi for a shorter time than the Pre - and they were fantastic! The Pixi's screen was relatively small, but it was still good.
If you haven't had the pleasure of using webOS, you shouldn't be baggin' on it. But if you have, then I don't see what you found so unappealing. Sure the App Catalog is limited, but the overall OS is pretty amazing.
So why do you think this will fail?
I think it is a great idea, especially if it is the first tablet with 4G (even if it is Sprint's spotty - but speedy - 4G), it has some awesome concepts, and it's going to be marketed to a relatively untapped niche.

Our market is all about getting out their an taking risks, so yeah, there is always a chance of failure, but why do you make it out to be that HP (who had nothing to do with the original Pre/Pixi models and their 'Plus' variants, in case you forgot) is so predisposed to failure? They're very successful in the PC market, why would tablet's be any different - with the right marketing, of course?
Oh, and it looks like they'll market it with the HP logo, so people will know it is from someone they trust.

I feel that if they can keep it around $450, it'll go well for them.
And if Sprint offers it on contract at around $250, I think it'll be a huge success - but who can tell in this crazy world we live in?

Anyway, that's my opinion, I'd love to hear yours.

This will rock. from what I have seen cloud storage, blue tooth keyboard, and e-station printing those 3 alone trum the ipad. Im interested to see how they work te inductive charging into the pad as wel l as how hp will package it between the smaty phone an laptop. Knowing them they will want you to have the entier hp eco system e.g. work station, laptop, slate, and smart phone. I still wish they played up the foleo format where you would tether to a smartphone, having to agree to an additional data plan will limit this from crushing the iphone/ipad out the gate.
