In that sentence is the reason why the PALM phones are not selling - ANDROID - the other, more bigger reason, is IPHONE, and yet, still, another reason is .....Blackberry.

First Palm blames Sprint, saying the Pre would have done better if not for the 6 months exclusivity. Now it's VZW's fault as to why no one wants to buy your second rate phones. Training had nothing to do with it. You guys didn't make people want this phone, your marketing sucked. Check out this Pre commercial at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Hk8IzdwYEA . And now check out this Droid commercial at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9fXYQjwR0w . Now which one peaks your interest more? Let's see if there are any other possible reasons for Palm's colossal failures. The Pre is a pebble shaped phone with a slid out keyboard with small keys, a small touch screen, no landscape keyboard, a 3 mp camera, lack luster UI, no expandable memory, launched with virtually nothing in the app catalog, and that's their flagship device. We won't even talk about the Pixi, the name alone was a joke! Maybe you should stop passing the buck and make a phone people would want to buy. Then market that phone the way Motorola and Apple marketed the Droid and the iPhone. I remember those commercials, they made people want to buy these phones. Let see what they say when the Pre doesn't sell on Att either.

I think Palm could really carve a name for themselves with more devices like the Pixi and the Pre. Landscape qwerty's are not everyone's cup of tea, and both the Pixi and the Pre were sexy devices. The problem is...they're old and tired. If Palm outfits their phones with big ass batteries, and beefs up their specs, then I honestly think they could have a winner here. They could be known as workhorse phones that can get down with apps too and enjoy touch screen fun. That line between androids and blackberries. You can stay connected to the internet, and get your push email, with a phone that won't make you feel like a teenager or a stodgy businessman paying $30 for a data plan that just gets you instant email. Palm has a good shot at grabbing a nice piece of the market share. A Pixi (with a different name), all black, more high end materials and feel with a 5mp camera, a 1500mah battery, same size screen, just higher resolution and OLED, and at least 800 mhz processor would be a really intriguing phone for a lot of people. Palm could also have commercials of a bunch of uber phone users not having any battery life, or running to chargers to use features on their phone that Palm users have too. Palm...it works...and it plays. Palm: because it's YOUR cake, you should be able to eat it too. Or something like that.

The new Palm devices are cool but the cameras and keyboards are small seems to me everyone wants 4 inch screens 5+ mega pixel cameras and lots of apps that's why they aren't selling. I agree with whateverman.
