Notice here it says, "...devices LIKE the Palm Pre and..." which doesn't mean it definitely WILL BE that device... at least for now, anyways. Everything changes in 6 months anyways these days.

Device like the Palm Pre could be Eos or a newer version of the Pre maybe?

Yes it says like the Pre not the Pre....things do change drastiacally now and days. But I think that every phone company should have there own special device.

I hope the Pre can sync with Itunes like reports have said; thats the only appeal for me.

I saw that too and would really be surprised if it is true...Apple might just have a case against Palm if it is true. I'm sure Apple could just release iTunes 8.3 and somehow block the Pre but people could still use older versions. That being said I'm gonna stick to drag n' drop regardless...never been a fan of syncing music for some reason. Also hope I can just delete a song off the Pre instead of re-syncing or hooking it up as a USB storage device.

Well so much for that idea....Palm just demoed syning non-DRM music, pics, and vids. http://www.engadgetmobile.com/
2009/05/28/itunes-support-confirmed-for-palm-pre/ I'm guessing this was the last "secret" they were holding that no one speculated about.

I am sticking with the fact that it's still a Palm, regardless of how cool it looks. Everyone was psyched about the Storm, and we see what happened there, and RIM is a dependable brand. Palm doesn't exactly have a great track record (i.e. security flaws allowing cloning, constant malfunctions/defects, etc.), so I wouldn't be getting my hopes up about it. It MIGHT turn out to be a great phone, but that's not very likely imo.

I find it kind of funny that people seem to be more excited about the Palm Pre than the other phone mentioned in the article (Storm 2). =)

Don't believe it's the Pre. I think it might be the EOS, as it's coming to AT&T. And probably VZW. The EOS is not the Pre. Nice joke by McAdams and AT&T.

thats quick for a storm 2.. THATS why you're not supposed to buy the first make . all your money spent and 6 months later it effs up on you and the NEW AND IMPROVED version comes out and you're screwed in your contract and have to wait for your upgrade eligibility. don't you people ever learn.
