tell us how you really feel. Did the HP CEO piss in ur cheerios this morning? Phone looks fine, hopefully no screen/keyboard issues like pre 1. No micro SD slot mentioned? That would b lame considering they cut the on board memory in half.

i dunno. it seems like all they did was up the specs so tech geeks would get interested. 1ghz is ordinary now. What really gets me is it looks like the exact same design as the last one. They need to just get over the femm look and make it bigger. What are the hottest selling phones? iphone4, galaxyS series, Evo and DroidX/2. All have at least a 3.5 inch screen up to 4.2 and some have keyboards. All have a 1ghz processor and a proven/popular OS. Palm needs to step up to hit a home run, not just hope to get on base if they want to stay in the game.

With the iOs android os and now the wp7 os who would want a webos for palm? Lol lmao at least change the damn display. No wow factors. Palm is going underneath the hole.

Certainly appears to be one of the most underwhelming new devices in recent years. But perhaps it isn't accurate, it may be prudent to reserve the raspberries until more confirmations are available.

Look what happened with the palm pre plus. Nobody gave a damn because of it's minor improvements and once again nobody will give a damn for this neither. At least the iphone has a 3.5 inch display with the high resolution screens and android has every kind of phone you could ask for in terms of speed, power, and screen size. It's very lazy to just slap on a few changes and call it a day. Have these morons not seen the blackberry storms?

I have the pre plus i have to say the new pre better be constructed a lot better than the plus becuase i barely had the phone for more than like a month and i dropped it and the power button popped out of the phone. That is really dumb when it can't even take a little drop...

Sure is a lot of pissing on Palm going on here. Let's wait until we see something more definitive before we continue dumping on them. I for one am eager to see what the next gen of Pre will be like. The Pre was stuck in a nasty Catch-22 where developers wouldn't make apps for it because few people were using it, but people weren't using it because of the lack of app support. Hopefully now that the WebOS platform will have more than two devices maybe people will take notice of this beautiful OS.

i agree with you, but minor tweeks and upgrades just arent going to win over many new customers or keep many current palm users. i have a ppp and i LOVE it, but with out some serious new features, im going to grow bored and try something else.
