PSA for dumbasses. Flash isn't supported on Android anymore. It's not even in the store.

Are you actually being serious. This place is filled with nothing but insecure androids fighting over everything (i actually picture the seagulls in "finding nemo") and there a s**t ton more articles for android as well.

Well, this won't last long.

Besides, it's disingenuous to compare the iPhone 5 to a mid range phone (Razr M). PC Mag can't be this goddamn stupid.

Sadly you are though. The Razr M is the latest release from Motorola with the 1.5Ghz S4 dual-core processor. They have a Razr HD incoming, but it uses the exact same processor. Same with the Galaxy S III. They bench higher than the quad-core Tegra or Exynos processors. They are at the top right now. That's why PCMag is comparing to those two. This is what happens when people talk out of their asses.

The only thing where Apple is strong is it's ecosystem...i mean all games and apps are optimized for one Hero device or else its a Expensive piece of Glass.

That's true for every other phone.

A train is faster than a car. Most people still use cars. Why? Because cars aren't limited - unlike trains.

When we will have a railroad connecting every single POI on earth - most people will stop using cars. But until then - they won't.

Question: Is it practical to have a railroad connecting every POI on earth? No.

Question: Is it practical for Apple to address the need and whim of every consumer out there with their current business model (closed OS)? No.

That's why Apple will never truly dominate the market. Because there are still a huge number of things Apple's devices will never be capable of doing, because of the nature of their products (closed OS, walled garden).

That's why open source platforms (or platforms which are less closed) - which can do anything - be it Android now, webOS perhaps later, and so on - will ALWAYS dominate the market.

This is also the reason the Mac never even came close in beating Windows in terms of market share.

In short - some people may say that trains are better. For them. And they would probably be right. However they are - and will remain - the minority.

Your analogy is dumb as hell. With your logic, Linux should be the number one desktop OS. And iOS has already dominated the market, so its really just fact versus your made up fiction.

Linux isn't consumer friendly dumb@$$, it's a developer tool. Linux in this analogy would be a tow truck or a lorry, it does more than a car, but is it for the average user? No

And how is 30+% dominating the market?

IOS dominating with less than 30% market share compared to Android's over 60%? Delusional much?

You need to go back to 3rd grade and learn how to read. It's only for phones currently on the market. The Optimus G definitely ain't out yet. The JB Galaxy S III is still in testing. The Razr M uses the fastest processor available right now, the 1.5Ghz S4. This is why there should be a law banning people with IQs lower than 70 from using the internet.

Most of these review sites are in bed with apple. They support apple prodcucts. All you can do as a consumer is go to a store and do a hands on review for yourself.

This is like saying a 1l 4 cylinder is faster that a 6l v8, the iphone is an obsolete piece of Shyte and no pc mag can change that. i mean cmon, a dual core 1ghz?? this was cutting edge when... 3 years ago?

Dual-core custom A15 > A9. There are a lot of factors that go into why the iPhone 5 has the best SoC.

Optimized and increased memory architecture, die shrink, better performance on demand and scaling to accomplish that, a class-leading GPU, and a chipset that is tailored to the OS.

It is fast paired with the light resources that iOS uses. I won't deny that. But it's not an A15 core, it's a custom A7 core. There hasn't been an A15 SoC released yet.

ARMv7 is the instruction set. The A6 isn't really Cortex A9 or A15, since it is completely custom, but it does implement VFPv4 and other A15-based features, which makes it most comparable to an A15.

Are you really that stupid that you are comparing processors with gas engines? That's like saying the Pentium 4 running at 4Ghz that top end PCs use to have back in 2005 is faster than the an i3 running at 2.1Ghz on a modern PC. When stupid people make convictions about something and don't listen to reason, it can be quite scary. For the human race.

considering the time difference between sgs3 & iPhone 4S, it's pretty normal to see the phone faster. however arm a15 processor will surely beat the crap out of this a6 processor
