Even Andoid 2.3 works better than iOS6 i gguess so who cares if updates are slow on Android ... it's same old SJ rant against android ... as a S/W person one is taught never upgarde unless it's broken ...

What gets me is the Apple iOS 6 installation numbers fail to tell you about the fragmentation that happens within that version. There are all sorts of features left out of the iOS 6 update on the older phones. THAT'S an issue, missing features. Check Apples support website to see the features left out.

But there r entire updates left off older android phones, Atleast older iOS devices get some of the pie. Older android phones don't even get the crust.

YA BUT MY OLD IPHONE BECAME SO SLOW AND BRICKED BC A NEW SOFTWARE UPDATE>... ITS BETTER TO LEAVE THE OLDER PHONES ON THE OLDER SOFTWARE....
THEY DO THIS AS IF ITS A GOOD THING ("HEY WE ARE FAST WITH OUR UPDATES") BUT IN ReALITY ITS JUST SO YOUR PHONE BRICKS AND YOU GET A NEW ONE.

oh man dont update iOS 6 is crappy and full of bugs! iOS 5 is much better!
Ah what am i doing? It doesn't matter what iOS the iSh33p are on heck they are all crappy and the iSh33p brought this upon themselves when they bought the iCrap!
Screw it who cares which version they are on...can anyone seriously tell the difference? They all look the same to me :)

is that the best U can do crying over the past 2.3?? what about the crappy ICS
the only so called stable version is 4.0.4 and after few weeks on release JB was around the corner ... and iOS released only 1 version so far and as always they will fix these issues... and the update is SLOW because there are only few devices which upgradeable and that is the biggest scam running by Android .... Which is really really pathitic, U buy a High End phone that will last for only 1 year top

Android users only wanna bash. They don't wanna understand.

Therefore, over 60% of people are mApless, walking around aimlessly taking purple pictures and using the leaked light from their handsets as an iFlashlight while they cover up any factory dings, nicks and bangs with Apple-Approved Duct Tape sold only in the LooneyTunes Store. Hoooooray for them!!!!

You mean Apple-Approved "ACME" Duct Tape. lol
I personally know Bugs Bunny. If you mention SuperAndroidEvo or PAPINYC to him he will give you a 35% discount on their VERY best Duct Tape plus a free carrot.
Yeah PAPINYC I kinda ran with it. It was VERY funny.

A thumb up for you but...
Mordecai I love you, but please stop bashing on Apple, we just wanna a peaceful conversation...
Of course android done the update well but please give a credit to ios :)

I am not bashing, I am just having fun. It's never personal. You should know that by now.
I can give credit when it's due. It's just that iMaps is really bad. Once the application is somewhat decent then all will be forgiven.
You have to admit that what PAPINYC said was very funny.
+1 to you because you do the same as me also.

Maybe I should hanging out with you guy more...
Probably the jellybean is too advanced to update early... But I think android users are patient and rasional enough to wait...
I'm very impress the jellybean update too, consider the huge android market share everywhere and 2% is enough to beat ios 60% :)

PAPINYC I have about 35 Bugs Bunny cartoons in my Samsung Galaxy Nexus. lol
"What's up doc?" indeed!

yawn. the same old "trying to be clever hating Apple" shtick is getting so old.

why so many people hate the truth. apple is doing great on rolling out updates period. that's something android manufacturers and google itself should work on and not only release a new phone/tablet with latest os out of the box. slow down with technology a bit, android is way ahead of ios i know but they should focus on an a long time issue like this. while i'm fine with 4.0.4, i'm still in hope of getting jellybean on my device before the next iteration comes out. not a fan of rooting and custom roms btw. as for ios, once untetehered jb comes out, i would definitely update to ios 6

Apple is "great" (if by great you mean rolling updates with 200 "features" like a new shiny button and skipping up on these "features" for older devices for the sake of profitability") because it has to update 3 - 4 phones, 2 - 3 MP3 players and 2 - 3 tablets. Other manufacturers have zillions of phones, not to mention the different carrier configurations, for alot of them.
It's like saying that trains are great at rolling in a straight line. Well, duh.

okay i have a 4s and bought an xperia s and galaxy s3. my 4s is on 5.1.1 jailbroken (i chose not to update because there is no untethered yet for ios 6) s3 is on stock jellybean and i have yet to root it (i just don't know how) xperia s is on 4.0.4 coz im still waiting on jellybean (or what they are cooking on aosp). you mentioned ios having only 3-4 phones to take care of. so samsung and the rest having multiple phones on their roster have an excuse for the delayed updates? it's not us consumers who want to dillute their products, it's them. my xperia ray(before i sold it) is on 2.3.7 and while i believe gingerbread is the most stable, who doesn't want an update? sorry but android should be sitting down on this problem and not release a krispy kreme yet
58. remixfa (Posts: 14255; Member since: 19 Dec 2008)
just wanted to throw in on that gingerbread part. It is not as stable as 4.xx. Life is better in the 4's than it was in the 3.xx even though GB was incredibly stable.

The only thing I envy about iPhone is this rapid adoption rate of new updates.
JB was released 3 months ago, yet I gotta rely on 3rd party ROMs like CM10, which is extremely unstable on my GS2.
Even the ICS which was released 1 year ago, they are just about to be released now for some of us, eg. Sony.
Gotta buy a Nexus phone I guess.

Anyone know where I can get some shiny apple stickers? I want to put one on the back of my One X to see if I can confuse people into thinking I have the latest and greatest from apple.
