I have seen as many as 22,000 text messages in one month, and have heard of other reps that have seen numbers close to 30,000. Crazy. Oh and to johntkong, I cant speak for others but Verizon does offer a little known plan for I believe 34.99 that is unlimited text with pay per use voice for $0.25 per minute. Not sure how little you use your phone for talking, but might be a good option.

"we see older age groups hit the trend" I have definitely had an increase in calls from older people wanting me to teach them how to text, usually cuz their granddaughters/grandsons are texting them, and they don't know how to respond.
