i average about 1500 text messages/month. My mom recently started texting and she sounds like a 13 year old girl in her texts! She probably thinks that you have to shorten every word as much as possible in texts. ie: "hey grl! u cmin hm 4 dnr?' She even has a qwerty keyboard!

You wouldn't think that someone would be able to send that many messages...i just can't justify that many a month...I mean i know this girl who raked up a 300 $ bill and lost her phone, I just laughed at her because there is no reason at all for the crazy amount of texts she made. I told if...if you're going to go and play that game you might as well just get unlimited texting. She then got an attitude and I told her to look at the first word. of every line...

serioiusly, why do mobile providers even offer, rather, make customers buy a calling plans? i got the smallest amount of mins i could while i splurged on an unlimited texting/data plan.

Its alright heavybreathing... liberals don't understand the concept of capitalism or business... their are just looking for handouts...

What does liberals have to do with texting?

Anyway, mobile providers still want you getting a calling plan because they're a company that offers calling services... simple. If all you were going to do is text, why would you need a device that makes phone calls? Why not just get a laptop?

You seem to be obsessed by me man. 5 of your last 6 posts involve me...but let me copy and paste what I responded to you earlier. I make $19 an hour, and get off at 2:30 in the afternoon, get 40 hours a week and unlimited overtime. I also get online and troll you guys all day and get paid. What do you do?

Im a SFA for one of the worlds largest pharma companies who I will not mention. I currently manage a 2.5 Billion GBP budget for our IT Finance group and travel abroad on a monthly basis, I wont mention what my salary is as I absolutely don't see how that's relevant, I work well over 40 hours a week, which Im not proud of, I also take my work home with me. Im glad you have something to be proud of though! $19 an hour.... If your happy with that, then rock on~! I find great solace in giving people like you true information, you run your mouth a lot in many of your posts, your rude and arrogant which says a lot about how truly happy you really must be with your current situation. I'm fascinated by the Telecommunications industry, which is one reason why I like to stay up to date and read through forums such as PA. I find it extremely unfortunate however when many a post are ruined by people such as yourself. So my fellow PA poster rock on, live and let live and as stated previously... THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK, as it is painfully obvious that you haven't yet mastered that. Although you do get done at 2:30 so that must account for something right!

I have seen as many as 22,000 text messages in one month, and have heard of other reps that have seen numbers close to 30,000. Crazy. Oh and to johntkong, I cant speak for others but Verizon does offer a little known plan for I believe 34.99 that is unlimited text with pay per use voice for $0.25 per minute. Not sure how little you use your phone for talking, but might be a good option.

"we see older age groups hit the trend" I have definitely had an increase in calls from older people wanting me to teach them how to text, usually cuz their granddaughters/grandsons are texting them, and they don't know how to respond.
