A $1.99 Apple iPhone app allowed director Malik Bendjelloul to finish filming his Oscar-nominated documentary "Searching for Sugar Man" after he ran out of money and could not afford paying for the Super 8 film that he had used for most of the picture; with just a few shots left, Bendjelloul used the 8mm Vintage Camera app on the Apple iPhone 5...

No. Oscars are given based on talent. And it doesn't matter if he used an iPhone or any other Phone. It's the content of his movie that got him the Oscar.

The Oscars are based on talent? Seriously? Don't even get me started on how wrong that statement is. It's all about politics & popularity like most award shows. Talent doesn't have much to do with it, plain & simple.

well the new camera hasnt been compared yet to say is pretty sweet, even at ultrapixel like they like to name it is a 4mp camera in reality with better sensor
