Other carriers to get Motorola Moto X camera update received by T-Mobile customers on Monday
Just because T-Mobile customers were the first to receive the update, doesn't mean it won't be coming to other carriers as well. Motorola Mobility's VP for Product Management, Punit Soni, posted on his Google + account on Tuesday that the update should be "coming to other carriers soon," and even more exciting for Motorola Moto X owners is Soni's comment that the team is back at work, creating the next update.
This is what happens when you make Android devices and your corporate parent is Google.
The Motorola Moto X update received Monday by T-Mobile customers, will soon be released to other carriers

Impressive if true, lets hope the os updates are nice and speedy too. Maybe it will set a precedent for android.

The article headline says the update is coming Monday, but in the article itself it says the update is coming soon. Am I missing something?
Nevermind! Finally understood!

Also of note in the comments is that Punit said the same update will come to all "recently released phones.". This means the Droids. Personally can't wait to try out the updated camera on my Droid Mini.

The Moto X would be an amazing phone for $300-350.
For $600 off contract no way.
Will never by on contract again.
