The degree of specificity within the complaint suggest this is more than a minor issue for Google. Oracle certainly has deep enough pockets to make this a battle worth watching.

What? this is a stupid case, unless if detailed specifics have not been given. Is it code in SUN PRODUCT or JAVA programming? If Oracle owns Sun and is proprietor of JAVA codes, then outside companies should be allowed to code in JAVA , I guess that is the whole purpose of developing software programming language. From obvious , it seems like they are suing their own customers. They could just charge fees, instead. Operating systems are like platforms and programming languages are like tools that are required by software companies. If you file lawsuit on OS and Programming languages then you are not only killing yourself but also your own customers. UNLESS I do not know of SUN products which have been copied by GOOGLE then this case is valid. I am sure Google will get away by paying fees as it is very popular by now. I want to see how Microsoft and Google fight down the road.
