Optical Image Stabilization coming to the rear camera on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3?

0. phoneArena 27 May 2013, 16:11 posted on

We've shown you a video showing off the Optical Image Stabilization technology on the Nokia Lumia 928; the clip displayed a video taken by the phone while it was attached to a remote control copter. Instead of jumping all over the place, you would have thought that the smooth video was filmed using a tripod...

Normal consumers don't care about OIS also. Most of them don't even know what OIS is.. But they certainly care about the resolution of the screen of their smartphone though, and the gaming perfomance too!

So you came on a Samsung article to troll and yet, according to you, I'm the hater here? LMAO! Nokia fanboys sure are big fat hypocrites!

No difference between 768 x 1080 on smaller screen devices and no need to have the same GPU and CPU as the SGS4 as WP8 don't need so much overpower.
Do you really think that matters to a normal consumer?
They won't even notice, but when the SGN3 comes, believe me many people will say, "Ohh OIS on my new phablet, my friends Nokia got that already in the previous year".

You are such a Fanboy but i'll still give you a +1 becouse i love haterz.

You know that it's confusing for consumers to know the difference between FHD and HD.
They would think that is the same, they don't follow the latest news every day like we do, think about that please...

& about OIS, Nokia promotes all of their Camera features.
Consumers would notice that much more easyer than the difference between FHD and HD, people are no eagles.

+1!

That is so desperate. But I guess screen sizes is the only thing Samsung can innovate.

What are these innovations that Samsung has introduced? Samsung smartphones have the same capabilities with the Chinese ones. Very small difference. It is not hard to put 2 GB of RAM and a Snapdragon S600 in a smartphone. It is hard on the other hand to produce new microphones that eliminate all distortion, OIS, Puremotion HD+ so that the refresh rate of the screen is 60Hz, new antennas etc. Samsung is just an assembler like Foxcon, they assemble parts together and put on it the software of another company.

It is not about knowing the technicalities. The difference is that OIS has obvious benefits that can be experienced without knowing its name. The video is smooth, the photos have no blur, low-light photos are good. 1080p VS 720p in a smartphone is just a number on a spec-sheet and the costumer doesn't see a big difference.

Nokia invented one fraction of mobile tech used on current smartphones, also as far as CDMA phones go its Motorola not Nokia... You know you can literally say moist Nokia phones are also a bunch of parts?

LOL! I like how guys take this stuff seriously, so passionate about OIS. Personally I think it's good for competition plus, the fact that they've said it so openly means they're going to go about it the right way. No one ever goes "I'm going to steal your car sometime next week, where I will hold a large event to show it off." I'm just saying ;)

That's why I used the word smartphone, the actual NFC functionality everyone craves came from smartphones not phones, care to show a Nokia smartphone with NFC before the nexus?

And you want sources?

"Samsung is just an assembler like Foxcon, they assemble parts together and put on it the software of another company."

*cough cough*

samsung makes its own CPU, RAM, storage, AMOLED screen, PCB, case, etc. More than 90% of samsung phone's parts are made in house.

Have you ever heard... Samsung GDDR5 memory? Or Samsung SSD? Samsung Harddisk?
Or have you ever heard a ship or an excavator made by samsung? Samsung heavy industries? Samsung medical equipment? Telco equipment? Precision instruments? SGR-A1 robot? air conditioner? wash machine?

Bi**h please, don't compare samsung to foxconn. They both are electronics manufacturers, but Samsung is in different league.

I'm not a Samsung fanboy. But I must tell you the truth. Samsung Group is like Fuji heavy industries + Foxconn + Intel + sharp + nokia + etc.
