oppo find design is much better than htc butterfly.the questions arises are about build quality & fast updates to be provided.i think this device would be a hit if above 2 questions are answered satisfactorily with vanilla android integrated in it.

well even if its all plastic / polycarbonate like the One X its good enough for me as most flagships are made of plastic.
And Google along with every major company wants to penetrate probably the biggest market in the world so I guess yeah the chinese will be receiving timely updates.
Both my opinions are based purely on my insanely flawed logic :)

build quality and design are definitely better on the HTC.......and since this is a name brand we are all not to sure about........The HTC with its flaws and price are still looking like the better choice

You might be surprised at Oppo. Do some Web crawling of their blu-ray players and you will find they are quite highly regarded in the A/V space. Blu-ray players require continual updates so they should be used to keeping device software up to date.

Oppo makes some of the Blu-ray players on the market. If the wireless division maintains anything close to the build quality and customer service of the electronics division, then we should all be quite satisfied. As for update frequency as a responder below asked, I can say that their firmware updates on their blu-ray players are frequent. In fact, they make their beta firmware available to the public on their blu-ray players in case they run in to an issue which hasn't been resolved by the most recent official firmware release.

If they are using the Sharp IGZO screen, then 2500 mAh may well be more than enough for more than a full day's usage, as IGZO technology drains batteries at a far lower rate than previous technologies...

I don't think htc will fall to the bottom anytime at all. Oppo is just starting with making their smartphones and unfortunately most of their products are not sold internationally that's why their market share is not as high compared with the other competing manufacturers.

China alone will definitely wins against all manufacture because of huge population, fortunately most Chinese are smart enough to pick Lenovo instead because, ZTE is government link company while Lenovo is independent, and most Chinese dont wanna sacrifice as tax payer so... Lenovo FTW!!! :D

neither model is confirmed to be available globally though. only samsung or lg have the capacity for making these phones widely available. lg has some kind of vendetta against micro sd though..

Take that Samsung! Thats how thin, large phones are made! The Note 2 is a larger phone than Oppo Finder. Yet it is thicker. The Note 2 uses a thinner Super AMOLED, yet it us thicker than Oppo Finder.
Plus it is a slap in the face to Apple. :D

On paper and in theory it looks like a phenomenal phone, but coming as a first release from a company and probably the first gen for a public release for their software it could be complete garbage plagued with problems.
When a company is releasing a first time product they need to prove themselves before i will put down my money. I will make sure its been available for a good 2months +, then obviously check sites and forums especially cause the users will complain to the forums usually far before the tech sites pick it up.
So even if it drops in the States where I am, I will let it do its thing before I even leave to play with it in the store. In all actuality I am getting the Galaxy Note 2 anyways so BOOM!

Oppo Find seems amazing.. But I can't see it all being perfect, there must be a fault to it.. But if there isn't, thne well done to Oppo :P
And HTC need to get bigger batteries.. This battery seems tiny, but even the One X has a small battery
