Opera Mini v4.2 beta released for non-smartphones
Opera has updated its popular Opera Mini browser to v4.2, and it packs several additional features that are sure to enhance the user experience.  The updated software offers new visual themes, and utilizes Opera’s new servers in the US for faster web browsing.  According to reports, the new version will give select devices the ability to view YouTube videos from the device.  Version 4.2 also supports Opera Link, which allows the user to synchronize data between Opera's desktop web browser and the mobile offering.

The latest version of Opera Mini can be downloaded here.

I am running 4.2 on my Instinct right now. The main problem is I have no keyboard but some other Sprint users have created a work around for that. The keyboard issue should be fixed with the firmware update on 11-19-08. Great browers though....I have used Opera Mini for about 3 years and it puts all defult carrier browers to shame.

You have to load the JVM on Palm phones for Opera to work. Just goolge Palm JVM and hotsync it to your phone and then Opera should work.

Opera Mini is for non-smart phone. Skyfire is for Smart phones so you can even use Skyfire on the phones Opera Mini is intended for. Now you can compare Opera Mobile 9.5 to Skyfire but not Mini.
