0. phoneArena 27 Apr 2013, 06:24 posted on

Can you handle watching what some might consider the top two smartphones in the world getting dropped to the ground in slow motion, with each impact and bounce hideously felt in the pit of your stomach? Check out the Samsung Galaxy S4 as it takes on the Apple iPhone 5 in a drop test; which flagship best handles a meeting with the ground...

are you talking about this video???

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v
=bLW0HrVeoD8

If you do you are totaly wrong dude.. what i mean is the video from androidauthority (Iphone vs S3) drop test

In that video you will see Iphone 5 fell on the front side with the same high (about 5 ft 6) just like S4
but Iphone still survived from that drop test

Let me tell you my mobile phone history Nokia, Sony Ericsson(not Sony), LG, Motorola, blackberry, and Samsung,
Until this day i never touch any HTC or Apple devices literally!!

Open your mind, and stop become closed minded fanboy

who cares about test drops. i have seen plenty of broken screen iphones and sgs3 screens.

flexible plastic should remedy that problem.

also the sgs4 suffered a broken outter screen. the amoled is fine

There is zero... ZERO lag in the S4. I highly doubt you tried one out or " saw" it in the store. I activated 4 at my Sprint store today, no lag. Nice try

Certainly not enough of an upgrade over an S3, but certainly if you have an S2

you one owners are halarious.

the tech behind samsung is superior to one.

amoled > tft.. nuff said most of the money goes to the screen and amoled owns tft and i think it owns lcd in terms of deep blacks.

oh if your not a fan of amoled
samsung pls or lg ips totally owns anything short of modern plasma

samsung can build quality outter shells like your precious one. however i dont consider aluminum quality material so i hope samsung uses another material

yudi you sure sound familiar. however, it's easier to make out what your trying to say.

we can gather you read up on the headlines that litter tech sites as much as we do. we understand nano-coating is awesome. but nano coating helps the surfaces of devices, when ports are exposed no nano coating can prevent water from gathering in those areas.

sony is pretty much done and so they are resorting to having to listen to people who give a dang.

all those years sony resisted to listening to its buying audience....when we said no to minidisks, weird rams, weird apps, weird and stupid charging and closed devices.

sony please go away. focus on the ps4. pleaseeee

you are totally blind dude....
You friend ''samsung fanboy'' showing me a vidoe of Iphone vs S3.

In that video you will see water drop test Iphone survived while S3 died.

And I'm telling him (your beloved samsung fanboy), i'm not believing that Iphone have water resistant feature.

Because if Iphone is water proof the Apple it self will showing it to us.
Not someone on youtube.

Sooo Stupid gooo away or just closed your mouth..... Okay!!

its premium device not some ''CHINESE PLASTIC TOY'' so people really care with build quality

S3/S4 is not Premium and not Durable either but why it have premium price point.

What happen with samsung fanboy you complain about Iphone and other metal phone get scratches and dents,
Now you said is fine to have plastic toy (S4) with cracked screen.
Its so funny hahahha.....

wow samsung fanboy is always off topic

hah Superior Iphone uses Ips (TFT)the colour is more natural than amoled, and more power efficient too.
don't believe me just check displaymate detail comparisson
between iphone 5 vs S4.
Even Compare to low resolution and low ppi Iphone screen Amoled not superior they are on par at best
eat that !!!

Aluminium that five times stronger than aerospace aluminum or about 3 times stronger than stainless steel And also scratch resistant too,
Its high quality and premium material.

Clueless fanboy like you will never accept the truth.
That samsung quality is sucks

You are indeed narrow minded, HTC also uses IPS on their phones, plus an actual zero gap display which on my One X is much closer to the surface than any other phone i have seen and that includes the iPhone 5. HTC and Apple are both considered the best when it comes to display calibration.

another idiot...
everybody tries the S4 in stores,, they open apps and don't close it
who knows how many apps are running in the background..that will obviously cause lag/
and i'm very surprised how many Samsung haters there are in PhoneArena

it's made of plastic because of his huge octa-core processor, do you know how match is that? like 4 times bigger than the iP5, keep it in mind dude...

So, what's your point? Will you spend "$800" and not buy a case? Or the fact that you paid $800 for your device means it is "breakproof"?

Blame gorilla glass 3 for that...

i think its the problem with the overall build because gorilla glass 3 is proven to be very durable. take the lumia 920 for example its using gorilla glass 2 but its one of the toughest displays out there

not it's not because gorilla glass 2 is on s3 and others smartphone but it's break, but on NL920 never break.....because anything is with Nokia it become tougher.
