Only Windows Phone phablets are getting a third Live Tile row, confirms Joe Belfiore

If you have been wondering whether a smaller WP handset with the same high-res display will have three icon rows, the answer is no. Microsoft's Joe Belfiore confirmed that whether a Windows Phone will have three instead of two Live Tile rows is dependent on the screen size, not the resolution, to make for a more fulfilling experience on the large display real estate...

The answer is not "no". It is set by phone manufacturer so if Nokia HTC... decide to do it then it can happen.

The start screen with more live tiles looks very nice. i hope they improve the esthetics of the app list though.

For heavens sake Microsoft, stop being such uptight Apple-wannabes - give the choice to the users! We can decide for ourselves if we have the visual acuity to read small text, thank you.
This is why I'm not interested in using Windows Phone. If I wanted a parental guardian to make all choices for me I'd play retarded or something. Or get a Windows Phone device, evidently.

I like Nokia, but I hate WP. Please, add the capability to use 3rd party launchers like android. I'm sick of its stupid live tiles. However, I still want to buy the 1320 or 2520 ;)

So you only want to change the Start Screen? If they did give you a 3rd party launcher would you somehow now like Windows Phone OS?
They don't necessarily go hand-in-hand but I believe there has to be more tangible issues with the actual applications and design of the OS past the home screen that would make you "Hate" it.

I would take from those two tweets that:
5" 1080p like the rumored Lumia 929 is considered a large screen, hence the third column in leaks
4.7" 1080p screen would not be considered big enough.

Reasonable inference there, though we can't be too sure about the 929 considering we've just seen renders so far.
