The squeaky wheel gets the oil, or perhaps a free Google Nexus 4 as one Google customer found out; after he never received confirmation of his order or shipping information, a vaguely worded email from Google let to a free smartphone...

I was in the same situation and have yet to be charged for the nexus 4 received today.
Don't know if this has anything to do with it.

At least GOOGLE cares bout their cosumers. If it was Apple they would either OVER CHARGE youre repairs or tell u to go buy a new phone WITH FULL PRICE. Glad we have some companies like Google that take care of their consumers

Uh, no, just no. Apple customer service is second to none in the tech world. I called with a battery problem on an iPhone 4 that was outside the 12 months by a few weeks, and they overnight end a replacement. Turned out it was MY error with the lock screen, and the phone would never go to sleep. They didn't charge me. I also walked into an Apple store with a secondhand 4s that was not getting great signal, and they replaced it on the spot. I'm far from the only one who has had experiences like this with Apple. I didn't leave them because of their customer service.

Apple better have great service as they are ripping their customer off by charging 100.00 more for 16GB of extra storage and an additional 100.00 more for an additional 32GB (64GB model) of storage.

There are many companies to whom you could send multiple emails and never get a free case, let alone a free new phone.
