I received my Omnia last week and have been fiddling with it.. primarily with the Wifi and sync'ing my multiple email accounts (including corporate Exchange). First and foremost, it is not the Storm nor iPhone (comparing to touch devices rather than true kybd devices). The iPhone 3G is almost superb, but after travelling with it for almost 3 months and not having complete network access was my straw on the camel's back. I went back to Verizon as soon as the Storm arrived. I like the Storm, but suffered the same "lock-ups" and delays plaguing the first adopters. back to the Omnia... It is slightly smaller than the iPhone, has vibra-feedback (can be turned off) and the default virtual kybd is the Samsung, but can be reverted back to the Windows Mobile kybd. My biggest gripes so far: the sensitivity around the edges of the touchscreen is poor.. you need to press harder or use the stylus. Example: scrolling up and down in programs views, or in email. Second issue is with the "exit" icon (which is an "X") in the upper right. You basically have to use the stylus if you don't have the other close option. If you really want to use your fingers, this piece needs to improve (be updated!) The really nice items: The camera, video recorder, and player are great. It comes with an activation code for DivX and can play the files seemlessly (and high quality). I like having Office Mobile. The WiFi was a little hockey gettiing configured, but was successful after a reset. The media manager connected to my streaming maxtor device (via Wifi) and can play my shared media. The screen is very nice. I don't have a preference whether to use Opera or IE.. They both do the job on the phone. Overall, I would give the device an 8.5 but I am still up in the air whether to keep or return since my main areas of use are emailing and texting and I really want those to work perfectly. I'll give it a few more days. -Steve

Sorry #27, I meant to say 3.55 mm jack adapter, you can buy them usually in any electronic store and it will wire your phone to your auxillary output port in your car so you can stream your music through your car speakers from your phone. thanks 31

I have The Omnia and after geting used to it (made the move from the palm Treo ) it is a great phone. still tweeking it and the more I use it the more I like it. Fast internet. Great camera and lots of room for extra programs.

I love the iPhone and AT&T. Sorry verBLOWzon fan-boys. Where I'm at sprint and AT&T got better reception than verBLOWzon. So I decided to get the iPhone and I don't regret it

Omnia reduced cause Storm is out of stock. Also, many stores already have it in stock as an alternative to sell you if your are a new line and about to walk. Omnia has all the features they should have put in the Storm: 8GB built in with external up to 16GB (total 24GB); WIFI; and Standard non-click touchscreen. Having used both: Verdict - BBStorm is better. In the long run, the Storm will continue to get better, while the Omnia is what it is. If you are a Windows fanboy you may like it. It's quicker and has some outstanding features, but the Storm will have millions of their fanboys creating 3RD party apps for the APP CENTER soon, so there's always that. Omnia needs a stylus for some of its operation and you'd better hope you don't lose it (it isn't held in the device, instead it comes with a lanyard you string to the phone = LAME). It reminds me of the TOUCH which needed a 3RD party keyboard to make it usable without the stylus. Windows needs to make their OS better for "finger navigating".

i have one for about a week now. it's okay. lags a lot at random times. Wifi kills the battery. 5MP is good, but flash makes things look white. Divx support is great, no conversion of videos and IT"S HIGH QUALITY. haven't worked out VZ Navigator and Broadband Access Connect yet. don't like the fact having to put adapter inorder to listen to radio. i prefer portrait qwerty with stylus than landscape qwerty keyboard. call quality is great, but signal for me not so good. it switches from EV to 1X over and over! I get 1 bar with Omnia and 3 bars with Dare. it would be better if it had 3.5mm headphone jack built in, not the adapter.

Obviously, Veriozn Wireless knew the Storm was going to be a flop and now they're trying to push people to buy the Omnia. I'm sorry VZW and Storm fanboys, but the Omnia si far superior. And this is coming from an AT&T fanboy.

I Personally have the Omnia i have had it since day one of release (which is friday 26) so far its been great, the default settings are not the best at all but i loaded it with Touch Flo 2D and its alot more finger friendly. I would recomend anyone with it to load that or anohter more finger fridnly UI for use. Overall im impressed by it, i normally dislike WinMo phones but this one is alright, definetly better than the Storm.... I work for Verizon in Tech support i know all the issues it has and am glad i got the Omnia over the storm

i too have the omnia and i like it a lot. my only gripe or wish is that it had more publicity and more people knew about it. im tired of people saying "oooh nice phone? what is it? the storm? behold?" and i say omnia and they all look dumbfounded.

WELL I WORK FOR VERIZON WIRELESS AND I JUST THINK THAT WHOLE CLICK FEATURE ON THE STORM IS JUST A WASTE OF TIME IT SLOWS EVERYONE DOWN NO MATTER HOW FAST YOU TYPE AND ON TOP OF THAT PPL THAT COME INTO MY STORE COMPLAIN ABOUT THEIR FINGER TIP HURTING FROM THAT FABO CLICK FEATURE..LMAOOOO THE OMNIA IS BETTER THAN THE STORM IN MY OPINION AND THE TOUCH IS WAY MORE RESPONSIVE AND THE ACCLEROMETER FLIPS NO MATTER WHAT WAY YOU FLIP IT THE. NEITHER IPHONE OR STORM CAN DO THAT
