Old school Doom running on the Pre
It's pretty amazing what can transpire resulting from the leaked WebOS root image. Hackers around the world are hard at work getting some nifty programs running on the new born device. One hacker in particular going by the name Sargund has managed to get the classic first person shooter, Doom, to run on the Palm Pre. The YouTube video proves that it can be done. It looks like it runs pretty well on the hardware, but amazed to see the Pre's tiny keys being used to navigate. If you comprehend all the hacking lingo, you can attempt to try it out following his instructions.

damn, some of you guys are so damn critical! If i were a Pre owner (which i will NEVER be) I would be happy to know that this game has been released for my phone. Back in the mid 90s, i loved this game as a kid. now that im older, I like revisiting olds titles like DOOM and Heretic and being able to have them on my phone is amazing considering that I used to play games like this one on my old 486!

Hey at least it bring back the old memories and good old days and now the modern kids can have a play with it while they can because I don't have an old PC to play Heretics anymore :( And I can run it on my new PCs but it won't be good.
