For the better portion of the last month or so, Best Buy had the official desktop charging dock for the HTC EVO 3D on backorder with the expectations of it “coming soon.”

Fortunately, hungry HTC EVO 3D owners who still long for a solution that enables them to prop up the handset, much like what the kickstand does with the original EVO 4G, will soon be able to grab the video dock for $49.99 starting on August 21 through Sprint directly.  Manufactured by HTC, it’ll obviously provide that perfect solution in keeping the handset upright – thus, allowing owners to enjoy watching content hands-free.

If that’s not enough for you, other accessories like the official Holster and Shield Combo from Sprint will be available a little bit later on August 24 for $25 – with the phone covers selling for $20 as well.  Needless to say, these are some complementary items that will go very nicely with the 3D enabled smartphone.

I am curious how long it will be before a larger battery for the EVO 3D is offered as an accessory? The more features there are, the more appetite these phones have for electricity.

A larger battery can be purchased from: http://gorillagadgets.com/
I have the HTC Evo 3D phone also and have had great luck with their bigger battery.
