With the Sprint release of the HTC Touch Pro2 coming September 8th, Verizon customers might be wondering "what about us?" Have no fear, as one of our sources is saying that the Verizon release won't be too far off, and to prove it there are now official pictures of the Touch Pro2 in their InfoManager system, but unfortunately no date or price. It comes with the beloved TouchFLO 3D user interface and updated QWERTY keyboard, as well as a 3.2MP autofocus camera and CDMA/GSM global roaming.

Thanks to a friend for the info!

It's Beautiful I really wish it had a Capacitive screen and something other than Windows mobile. Those are the Reason's I had to return mine from T-Mobile. The Build quality is Amazing and it's so Beautiful but I just could not get past those two aspects, broke my heart. *sigh* Come on Touch Pro3!

you knew it had winmo and didn't have a capacitive screen when you bought it. if indeed you actually did. your statement is suspect to me. so, shut your pie hole and move on!

Why would a touch pro 3 have anything other than winmo? People like you are why carriers are having to implement restocking fees. You knew before you bought it that it was not capacitive and that it ran on windows, yet you still bought it. A few days later returning it, this costing your carrier 400-500 dollars in the process.

to cj100570 and ICanAffordVZW i believe Galen20K bought the Touch Pro 2 hoping that the resistive screen was good enough and that Windows Mobile has gotten better. He was wrong so he returned it. Theres nothing wrong with that.

yah that's what i'm afraid of too...

To Armo.... you mean to tell me that when a person walks into the store, he doesn't have the smarts to tell a sales rep, "... I just wanna browse for now..."? In the time it took him to do so, he could have easily seen in ran WinMo. Don't need to purchase the thing to see that now do ya? Also, he could've fooled around with the device for a while before actually deciding to purchase. Seriously, how long do you think it takes to realize it doesn't have a capacitative touch screen? Honestly!!! I see people go into stores and play with phones for HOURS, decide they want to buy it, and then, magically, the phone is no good to them once it leaves the store. Again, this is why restock fees are levied on us.

21. enemyisyou posted on 02 Sep 2009, 05:10

Why is it such a big deal that everyone had to jump down this person's throat? And why are you so concerned about the restocking fees if you haven't returned a few handsets yourself?

22. mulda71 posted on 02 Sep 2009, 07:12

right on.

27. brikz4real posted on 02 Sep 2009, 21:46

FYI.... I'm not at all concerned with restocking fees myself...just the people who bitch and moan about why companies do it. And you're right, it's no big deal. But common sense is common sense. It's crazy how someone can agree with a post without weighing in on "common sense" options. I can see if there were some "hidden" features on a device that you don't know about, but the obvious things like the touch screen and OS? Again, people just need to use common sense.

why does verizon take so long to come out with new phones

3. cj100570 posted on 01 Sep 2009, 17:24

because they can and they know that people will wait and then pony up when they finally do.

wow. Verizon verizon verions is alright. The black coating looks more professional than Chrome edge. But not too crazy about grayish looking color for battery cover but best of all the carriers we have now. Now i wanna see AT&T verions with Chrome edge. Good job Verizon!!

I might get this if it come out to ATT, because I am dying to try photoshop on a windows mobile phone. and the screen size plus power of this phone will be nice. But i have an iphone so it will really come down to how much this baby is contract free. Also I need money for new apple devices maybe, lol. I know fanboy

8. drewsky posted on 01 Sep 2009, 18:39

yea me too. Im waiting for this coming to ATT. Especially since wifi is going to be free with all WM phones on sept 14th!!!!

12. VDubb posted on 01 Sep 2009, 19:57

So you want to get the TP2 on an inferior network because it has free WiFi in *select* locations to make up for their ****** network vs. getting it on a network that doesn't need offer free WiFi because you'll have 3G nearly everywhere you need it...fantastic logic.

24. phoneguy posted on 02 Sep 2009, 10:55

WIFI in some cases is faster than Rev-A not to mention (and you stated it ) FREE wifi....

Nice job for Verizon, but they took off the front camera!

They always do - afraid people will use those unlimited data plans for video phoning via VOIP. They want you to pay for the data plan, niot actually use it!
