I find it funny how ppl are up and arms when it comes to the Storm's software but never say anything when their computer gets a software upgrade from Microsoft every week to make it better. You bought the 1st edition of RIM's touchscreen BB. First of it's kind. Yes, it was pre-maturely released.. but you still bought it. Deal with it and be patient.

I didnt buy it and I have never had a computer that has been upgraded every week. I just find it funny that it is touted as this great device with potential to be even better after 1000 upgrades.

I find it amusing how people sit and complain about updates and how their blackberry doesnt work up to par right away. I mean dont get me wrong it sucks having electronics plauged with bugs after you first get it, but hey man, this is business. Why would RIM spend boat loads of $$$ endlessly testing every single situation on the phone when they can get it to a useable state and have us guinea pigs find the bugs for them? and then just send out an update. Thats the choice we make when we let a hype make our decisions for us. Like stated before with microsoft, remember when vista came out? many updates later it runs pretty descent (even though theres plenty of work to be done.) Personally I think the storm is an outstanding phone with endless potential, what issues it may or may not have (varying per device) It definately is worth owning one. There is unlimited potential for this phone. I phone is cool but open source is way cooler

Dont get me wrong the storm is sweet, however it is a shitty experience when a person has to plug their phone in monthy and wait around an hour for BB updates to happen...

Let's remember a few things.... 1. How many Upgrades have each I Phone had? several, all official 2. there has only been 1 official upgrade for Verizon. Leaked upgrades are exactly that...leaked and unreliable 3. even macs have occasional upgades. I own one, and while they are rare compared to Windows, they do happen. 4. If you don't own one, what are you bitching about? just a chance for an Apple Fanboy to trash Verizon?

I love the Storm, I have used the leaked updates all the way up to .109 , I didnt use the new .114 after trying it out, it definetly set the acceloremeter (sp?) back to the .75 state it was in previously.....but even after all these updates, I would not trade this thing in for the world. It is the device with the biggest amount of potential on the market today...no question about that...expandable memory, CDMA/GSM quad band based with Verizon coverage in the states, 3g in about 80% of America, multiple web browsers for those who prefer to chose what they want to use to browse the web with, thousands of apps available right now without a app store, several emails and messaging systems can be run at the same time while listening to music and surfing the net, free themes and screen apps give you customization options other phones dont offer....I could do this all day Fact is this....Verizon is pushing these devices out the door day in and day out....I have sold hundreds to consumers and thousands to businesses as well. The new OS will make people buy it even more, because it is going to offer those who have been rocking .75 for all this time...a stable and enjoyable OS on the best network nation wide.

Oh man I can't wait til I can score an official OS update for my 9530. I still love the device at .75 but I know I'm gonna love it with a newer OS version from what my friends have told me that use the leaked OS'. I run a mac notebook, and that's why I haven't been participating in the leaked OS versions. I like Apple products but give me a Storm over an iphone any day of the week!
