Official Samsung Galaxy S III Jelly Bean update leaked, dated September 3, and carrying the number I9300XXDLI1. There was another official one leaked before, but it was dated July, and we can't help but think that the update should start rolling any day now, considering how fresh this last one is...

And where are the people who used to trash on Samsung for "slow updates" now?

4. KParks23 posted on 04 Sep 2012, 02:35 4 11

Yeah let me know when we get it in the states! Samsung suck with updates

9. whysoserious posted on 04 Sep 2012, 03:08 19 2

It's the carrier's problem, not Samsung.

5. iWorld posted on 04 Sep 2012, 02:52 1 11

Samsung does not look after old models. Is Galalxy s2 old enough that sammy doesn't want to update it's firmware. So, what Samsung expects us to buy a new model every time. Sammy sucks really

Sorry buddy, but it's all about business.... It's all about making money. U need to hold other features so people can buy your current product so you can make more money and show it off to your share holders and whoever, and brag to your competitors, and in term convinces the consumer that a lot of people buy your products, in turn convinces us that people must really like your product, and don't we all trust a product that a majority buys if we are not sure what to buy. Just take a look at Apple, they are not including Siri on any pre-iP4S models, so to attract consumers to buy the iPhone 4S. And a lot of people left their iPhone 4, for 4S, just to taste Siri. And that my friend is a good Marketing team afford, which works for Apple, cos their customers are so loyal, there is nothing you can say to them, that will change their mind. And Samsung haters don't just come from Apple fans but Moto, HTC and so on fans. So Samsung Marketers can use updates as a way to attract people to dump their old phones and buy the latest. This can work against them or actually work for Samsung.

The truth is, we all know that by now. That if your phone is older than 12 month, well.... it is old.... technology grows fast these days, what was released yesterday, well feels like an antic. But Apple's court wins might change that. Technology might be going on some slooooooooooooooow motion. Just saying

And just to make it clear to everyone. I'm a loyal Apple fans (just the iPhone, i hate iPad, feels like the bigger version of my iPhone) and I'm typing form my Windows 7 netbook, and I'm also a fan of Samsung, I bought Galaxy tab 10.1 instead of iPad 2. So there you go. I love both Apple and Sumsang. But if I have to chose btwen d 2, I will choose technology and innovation anyday, whether be it Apple or Samsung.

Power to Innovation

I have ICS on my Epic 4G Touch. Jelly Bean should be coming soon.

6. KingKurogiii posted on 04 Sep 2012, 02:53 1 5

well sure, this is quite an accomplishment for them but it's a complete 360 from how they used to be and their updates are still very oh how should i say...uninspired. i bet you'll barely tell the difference between a GB SII and a JB SII.

8. SlimSoulja86 posted on 04 Sep 2012, 03:04 3

I don't think it's about telling the difference but added features that are available on JB. TouchWiz will ofcos look the same. I know what I'm talking about cos my iPhone UI looks the same, just some added features and some added apps.

Just saying.

20. KingKurogiii posted on 04 Sep 2012, 03:55 1 2

Google thinks it's about telling the difference. they've put more into the design philosophy of Android with ICS+ and Samsung won't get out of the past. that's the flip side to iOS, it has an uninspired design now, it's become old and stale but at the same time i realize that it's the brand familiarity that Apple is after, not the case with Samsung though as TW itself is evolving aesthetically but not for older devices, in fact Samsung devices rarely ever see a UI version bump.

23. remixfa posted on 04 Sep 2012, 05:24 2

ahh.. dont fall for it.

Samsung has always regularly leaked updates. They have a 3rd party website that posts them www.samfirmwares.com There was even SGS1 updates there last month for bug fixes and such. You will never see them on a carrier though.

The difference has always been the carriers who decide if they want to actually push the leaks.. That is why peeps like how easy samsung phones are to root and ROM.

27. KingKurogiii posted on 04 Sep 2012, 05:44 1

yeaaaah, that site was just full of spam. xD

28. remixfa posted on 04 Sep 2012, 05:45 1

35. KingKurogiii posted on 04 Sep 2012, 07:09 1

lolwut? xD

24. maryaaadil posted on 04 Sep 2012, 05:27

Yes man we cant tell difference by looking at someone else's phone, we can when we have it.
Touchwiz 4 came to s1 so why cant we expect nature on s2.

29. KingKurogiii posted on 04 Sep 2012, 05:48 1 2

that's because there's minor differences. you can tell Motorola devices running GB and ICS from a mile away, it's even pretty easy to tell HTC devices running GB and ICS apart but it's trickier with an SII. if the SII didn't get UX with ICS there's no reason to believe it would get it with an update as incremental as JB.

32. maryaaadil posted on 04 Sep 2012, 06:39

S2 Didn't get ux cause s3 was release after the update.............

34. KingKurogiii posted on 04 Sep 2012, 07:09 1

the Razr got Motorola's modified UI before we even saw it on a new device. same with the Droid X.

39. DonkeySauce posted on 04 Sep 2012, 13:20

samsung sucks big time........... this is the bottom line.. cheap plastic crap software.. and high price is what samsung is all about.. now i dont care if u like it or not to hell with u all.

12. SlimSoulja86 posted on 04 Sep 2012, 03:20 4

Just chill boss. Relax! Don't stress yourself. It's not healthy at all.

18. tedkord posted on 04 Sep 2012, 03:39 2

I'd think you'd like the Galaxy Note. Huge screen to lick.

22. Non_Sequitur posted on 04 Sep 2012, 04:45 1 1

And with the iPhone, you may have an extremely heavy phone that feels like a brick, but the software can't do anything.
Now go away.

25. maryaaadil posted on 04 Sep 2012, 05:30

When it comes to money Galaxy Note is selling way cheaper than iphone 4 in India.

13. preet27in posted on 04 Sep 2012, 03:22 1

well m all the way relaxed mr slim... and btw why ur feeling for me? lol u a sammy fanboy? lol i got it........ cheers

15. SlimSoulja86 posted on 04 Sep 2012, 03:29 2 1

LOL, whatever makes you sleep at night. Ur a human being and I do care. Just don't stress yourself about people who are making money. The good thing is we have freedom to chose any device we want. I don't like samsung smartphone (though I'm gonn get me some galaxy not 2), i prefer an iPhone over S3 (i think it's because i'm gonna have all that and more on my up coming GN2).

14. SlimSoulja86 posted on 04 Sep 2012, 03:26 5 1

I seriously need an answer for this one. Why do people always complain about the Samsung plastic feel? Well about... lemme see.... 100% of people I know in my life have covers on their phones, their iPhones are somehow have cheap rubber covers cos they are afraid the glass might break and those with their galaxy s3 have some covers, so what is the point of a device to have a high end material that will make it heavier and well in some cases interference with the signal, which you are not going to feel cos u will have a cover to cover your phone?

I really suffer to understand it. Cos all that premium material, people aren't even gonna see it, cos you will have a cover, covering it. I do understand why Samsung uses light materials, cos it makes your phone lighter, and they know you are going to buy a cover to protect that investment anyway.

Just Saying

31. preet27in posted on 04 Sep 2012, 06:16 1 1

well slim boy i dont wanna take up the issue of a phonee with u here, i was giving my own opinion and dont know why u r havig trouble with that? go get ur plastic sammy no body is stopping u for that mate. and btw high end materials donnt always make ur phone heavy .. if u still feel 130 grams is heavier stuff, u definately gotta go to the gym. lol 130 gms... think about that. cheers

36. SlimSoulja86 posted on 04 Sep 2012, 08:12

LOL. Come on now. Like really?

You take things way too personally. Like I said, it's not healthy for ya.

41. YasasT posted on 04 Sep 2012, 15:43

quick question, will flashing this void my warranty? and what are the other disadvantages? :)

43. henrickrw posted on 05 Sep 2012, 00:14 1

of course it would do if you break your phone, but there is always ways of reviving it abd flashing back your counter to zero.
