0. phoneArena posted on 10 May 2011, 01:48

An official spec sheet for the Motorola DROID X2 has been leaked confirming the 1GHz Tegra 2 dual-core processor under the hood; the specs show Android 2.2 on the phone although we could see Gingerbread installed by the expected May 12th launch...

If it was LTE I'd be buying it in a heartbeat. I love my X, but this is a refresh, not a brand new phone. THat's why I'm waiting for Bionic.

Well, lack of Gingerblur is disappointing, but it could be just like the original X, where we see the update within a month or two of launch.

Bugger you Motorola... Android 2.2 is so last year!!!!!

I'm with bossmt_2 - the X2 is looking like a refresh. Since the Bionc is looking more like a 4Q2011 phone, I may be looking real hard at the EVO 3D. Especially if the EVO 3D is available in mid-July when my contract is up.

1080p video recording will come with Gingerbread? Who knows?

Dual-core tegra 2 processor, qHD screen, True HDMI mirroring. This thing is a bit more than a refresh. For instance, I have a large desktop case. It's ugly, bullet proof, but biig enough for amything I wish to put in it. If I upgrade my Atholon X2 6000+ to. Phenom X6 1090 is that aa refresh? To do that I would need a newer motherboard, andd i would likely upgrade a gpu along with it.

Refresh is like the incrdible to incredible 2.

There's not a single enhancement to the design of the phone. The bump in processor speed is not going to be an extreme difference without 4G. And it is not true hdmi mirroring, it is the same hdmi function as the original X with the addition of 1080p playback. This is absolutely a refresh. No increased ram, no increased memory, no front camera, and still running 2.2. The original X will probably get gingerbread before the X2

i kind of get what he's saying testman, a refresh would mean the phone as a whole would receive aesthetic and performance updates to "refresh" the experience. the Droid X2 does not fit this bill, it's more like an upgrade or it's merely being retrofitted enough to be on par with the new echelon of Superphones.

You will eventually regret owning a Sanding phone.

*Samsung... someone got it.

Or you could be a little patient and wait for the Bionic. :)

Haven't seen a sequel this disappointing since the matrix 2&3

Verizon contiues to churn out phones that are outdated before they hit the streets. I haven't seen a single phone with specs that even compare with phones AT&T and T-Mobile are getting soon(dual core/4g). Sad to see Verizon loading up with phones that aren't even worth the 2yr contract handcuffs. Falling behind again......My Droid X running Gingerbread and overclocked at 1.2ghz will do fine for now...no sense in having a dual core and no 4g

Just another android phone

Not sure why anyone would buy this .... Unless of course your not expecting LTE for a long time in your area.

Right now, seems like the Thunderbolt and Charge are the only choices anyone should consider if you can't wait.

Simply can NOT understand how this phone came out with 3G.....

Seriously Verizon....you better get off your arses and give us a REAL phone to buy that has in it what we want

Thunderbolt...... battery...nuff said
Charge.......sub 1000 Quadrant???.....really??????
X2..... 3G
Revolution....single core
O Bionic........ screwed that one up

I have two upgrades ready and they don't have a single phone I would waste the money on......still using OGD (over-clocked and Gingerbread)

btw,.....my droid (enhanced) is getting better Q' scores than the Charge....thats freaking sad

Verizon is sooo over confident right now and they dont see how many customers they are losing.......If I dont see the Bionic by the end of July I am going to AT&T
