Official: LG Optimus G for AT&T launches November 2nd, pre-orders start Tuesday
The LG Optimus G

The LG Optimus G

Are you planning on switching to AT&T or burning an upgrade on the LG Optimus G? We've got some very good news for you. Starting tomorrow, Tuesday, you can reserve your unit and pre-order what has become one of the most talked about handsets post Apple iPhone 5. The LG Optimus G was created by the Korean manufacturer with the goal of competing against Apple's iconic smartphone and the sizzling hot Samsung Galaxy S III. Despite all the features that LG could shoehorn into the phone, the device will be priced at $199.99 with a signed two-year contract.

With the quad-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 APQ8064 and 2GB of RAM, you can imagine how fast the LG Optimus G runs. Among the features, Q Slide lets you run two apps at the same time using a split screen effect. The phone will be in AT&T stores starting November 2nd. We do need to point out that the version of the phone available from AT&T has an 8MP shooter instead of the 13MP sensor on other variants of the device.

The LG Optimus G is certainly the manufacturer's most powerful smartphone to date and starting tomorrow you can make sure you will have one put aside just for you at AT&T.

No matter what LG brings in the market, it will still lag big times.

I think they should concentrate on refrigerators, washing machines and TVs :p

Eh. After getting the Thrill I will never buy another LG phone. Great hardware and very durable/reliable, but the software and support straight up SUCKS. Web browser would crash, apps would crash, and my Thrill got it's 2.3 update FINALLY....in March! No ICS and certainly not JB.

6. networkdood posted on 15 Oct 2012, 17:35 4 2

this is great for AT&T and LG as LG needs to get into the smartphone with an excellent phone and not some P.O.S. phone.

Well I had at nitro and it was a damn good phone that got updated ot ICS and UI was nice.

Sprints version rocks the 13mp if I'm not mistaken, but it would be interesting to compare the two handsets to see how much of a difference the 5 extra mega pixels make.

this or the note 2, I'm a bit confused.

18. AnTuTu posted on 15 Oct 2012, 22:40 2 5

There shouldn't be any confusion between a beast and a laggy product mate :)

After the Thrill and the Nitro, im a little weary about LG

i have LG Optimus pad and another LG phone, software support is horrific at best, i have dropped my tab 5 times on pavement landing on corners and face down and its a BEAST. But hardware aside i would never buy an LG again, unless its a nexus of course....

Where's the XPERIA T DATE AND PRICE?

15. FoxDavis posted on 15 Oct 2012, 19:47

I want to really like this phone and I will not be the first one to pre order this. I have to play with it and see some reviews before I pull the money out to buy.

LG Optimus G on Sprint 200$ two years with a 13MP Camera
