From the looks of it, one of our faithful readers managed to inform us that they just started receiving an over-the-air update that brings the venerable smartphone to Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread. Taking a look at AT&T’s support forums, it verifies that the 20MB update...

2.3.6 just a very minor voice search bug fix. NOTHING more.

i have skyrocket (white) from ATT. it says servers are busy....

Do you have bluetooth issues? My phone is very eradic with my headset but my older Samsung Captivate connects to it within 15 feet automatically like it should. As for the 2.3.6... I wouldn't stress it. It's a real minor thing that 99% of people won't even notice. My voice functionality is great. On my Captivate I had to speak slow and clear when doing a text message. This phone I can speak normal and say alot more at one time and it always gets it right.

I had downloaded it for sprint samsung galaxy sII already. And overall it is almost the same but I guess it brings more changes than you can realize
