O2 XDA Atom, produced by Quanta was approved by the FCC

Earlier this year some rumors about the O2 XDA Atom appeared on the internet. It was't sure who actually produced the device and the names of the Quanta and HTC were the most frequently mentioned. Today FCC made that clear, approving the Atom, or the O2 XDA – it is produced by Quanta Computer Inc.
The O2 XDA Atom is a tri-band GSM GPRS/EDGE phone running on Windows Mobile Operating System for Pocket PC Phones, with the latest version 5.0 (Magneto). It features 2.7” 65k color touch-sensitive display and has internal 2-megapixel camera. It also features miniUSB, Infrared, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi for local connection. Multimedia is present, supporting music playing and featuring a FM radio. The internal memory is extended through miniSD cards. It also takes advantage of Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 OS and has pocket versions of their well-known programs like MSN messenger, Outlook, Explorer, Offices tools and many more.

Many labels and images in the manual point that the device produced by Quanta and approved by FCC is actually the O2 XDA Atom. Probably the same Quanta device (Atom) will be sold under other names, as do most of the HTC devices, but still there is no official announcement of the Atom for the US, even thought it is approved by the FCC
