Snapdragon 800 isn't a single processor, it's a processor class like Snapdragon S4

Aand there you are, smacked down again, Intel.

This thing will go over 300 GFLOPS on tablets, and Nvidia will license it.
Intel can only drem about competing with ther graphic solutions, and that means no competing in the whole SoC market of course.
The HD 4000 is the lowest voltage integrated GPU yet way weaker and hungrier (about 160GFLOPS and 15w)
Not to mention drivers where Nvidia just leapfroged them with Open GL 4.3 and Direct X 11 support in this mobile GPU

I wonder how powerful maxwell will be this is what nvidia was claiming.

http://wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/NVIDIA-2014-635x357.jpg

I bet the maxwell will hit 7 teraflops atleast, the new r9-290x is 5.6teraflops but its not 20nm.

GF110 rated at 1.58 Tflops. fully enable GK110 (quadro K6000) rated at 5.2Tflops. by the the time maxwell hit it could be exceeding 10Tflops.

Soo..you wrote the dumbest comment ever?
Cool.

On to my comment..Intel is ambitiously branding their Iris graphics line, after dropping IT PowerVR graphics for the SoC business.
Now that pretty much means they are sticking with their own, far inferior graphics in the both of most important silicon markets - the ULP SoC's and LP APU.
And if that happens, they have no chance in competing.

The way I see it, Intel will have to drop the GPU business or else they can call it quits.

Please Nvidia don't release it late this time, you know like you did with Tegra 4... This should be ready for the first 2014 flagships..

i heard that the first device to use T5 was nvidia own 10 inch tablet which i think will be similar to how they did with their Tegra Note. but ever since the chip comes out from the fab nvidia claim that they already sent sample to partners (back in july if i remember correctly)

Why 28 nm? Everyone else will be on 20 or 14 by the time tegra5 is released

TSMC try to build 20nm, that mean current don't have 20nm. Only 28nm.

honestly i want to know the cpu portion of Tegra 5. we know about the graphic portion since last july. many expected it will be based on A15 but an article on Forbes suggesting that Tegra 5 might nvidia own 64 bit ARM cpu (Denver) instead of A15.
