Doesn't have tegra 4i have nearly same speed as Snapdragon 800?

Thats Tegra4 have four A15 cores...tegra4i has four A9 cores...so no...tegra4i is not as fast as S800.

if you mean clock per clock performance then no. but if you're talking about maximum rated frequency then maybe. nvidia says Tegra 4i can operate upto 2.3Ghz. but even compared to other A9 based processor the A9 in Tegra 4i should be faster due to improvement nvidia made to it (A9R4)

Not even a half of dozen devices having Tegra 4 chipset have been released and now we're talking Tegra 5....
Hope that comes before the end of 2014 as they haven't been able to live up to their claims during the past 10 months.

Nividia was first to bring dual (tegra2) and quad core (tegra3) arm soc...with tegra4...nvidia showed up too late...everyone had S600 or S800 in device by then...tegra5 will have 32 bit A15 cpu cores (most probably)...which are fast enough...but everyone else will have 64 bit A57 cores...again...chances are of Tegra loosing to Exynos and Snapdragon.

there were talks about tegra 5 using 64 bit cpu. idk how legit it is but an article from forbes once talking about it. the author even claim that nvidia confirm to him that logan will use 64 bit cpu. so far nvidia only reveal the gpu portion of logan and never talk about what exact ARM cpu being use in logan. maybe we will know when nvidia officially unveil the processor next year

nvidia update their Tegra line up on yearly basis. i think Samsung Exynos and qualcomm snapdragon are the same.

I don't like tegra cause there chips get over heated very easily and not power efficient as competition that's with tegra 3 with its ridiculously high 42nm is terrible hope they can do better cause so far nothing to me beats Qualcomm chipsets

What's the point Nvidia when Qualcom comes out with processors faster than NVIDIA

"The Tegra 5 will allegedly have one of the fastest GPUs around – the 192-core GPU Kepler"
I'd like to see Qualcomm try to top nvidia on the GPU side. Also, nvidias tegra 4 is better than the 800 right now. It loads web pages faster, has aohdr support, just as fast, cost less.... The HUGE negative is that they don't have an integrated LTE modem... I'm wondering what it means that the 4i modem is certified for the trgra 5. I also wonder what the delighted surprise of a manufacturer will be...... Google with its new gaming console anyone??

Waiting for a smartphone or tablet that has Tegra 4i or Tegra 5 because as a gamer..
I know nVidia is good at making gaming chipsets like the Tegra 3 and Tegra 4i...
