Nova Launcher 5.3 is now available on Google Play

The folks behind Nova Launcher, one of the most appreciated third-party launchers available on Android, today released a new stable version of the software: 5.3. Coming only several weeks after version 5.2, Nova Launcher 5.3 introduces support for Google Now, although users won't get this by default.

To actually have a Google Now pane on Nova Launcher (similar to what Pixel Launcher and Google Now Launcher are offering), you need to download an extra Nova Google Companion APK on your phone. Once you have this APK on your handset, Nova Launcher 5.3 should detect it, and you'll start seeing the Google Now integration in effect on your home screen.

You can find the Google Companion at Tesla Coil Apps (the company developing Nova Launcher) via the second source link below.

Besides Google Now integration, Nova Launcher 5.3 brings some unspecified bug fixes and optimizations. The launcher is available to download for free through Google Play - see the first source link below.
