Nook tablet prices slashed in anticipation of new Kindle Fire and a cheaper iPad
Share:
Barnes&Noble's Nook tablet prices are being slashed across the range, most likely because a new Kindle Fire is around the corner, as well as the rumored smaller and cheaper iPad Mini.
The 16GB Nook is getting down to $199 from $249, and the 8GB model goes from $199 to $179. The Nook Color also saw its price slashed by $20 to $149.
The Nook tablets are pretty popular and their launch let B&N grab almost 30% of the e-reader market, but this business takes no prisoners right now, with Google launching the Nexus 7, the Amazon effort and the looming cheaper iPad, so something had to give. The new prices went into effect yesterday.

I don't think so, with such beautiful and affordable N7 who would care about Nook?
